    Why I oughta!

Well everyone else is talking about ancient pre-historical bands, I thought I'd liven things up by actually mentioning some GOOD ones...:p

I thought about Morrison, and he's obviously a great choice. I think I left him off simply because I'm not too crazy about The Doors. I like them, they just don't rank all that high for me really. Also, and I think I'm saying this just for the reactions!, but there's a differance between being a great frontman and being just, drunk.

A lot of his 'stunts' were purely down to alcohol, so while he'd be great to go out on the piss with, I wouldn't want him fronting my band.

    Jon Anderson - Yes.
    Steve Winwood - Traffic.
Peter Doherty and Carl - The Libertines. and maybe................
Bob Marley - Bob Marley and The Wailers.

all joking aside, it is probably . ..
    Bill Monroe
    although props are given to
    jimi hendrix
    perry farrell
    hank williams and
    janis joplin

but none of them created a truly new musical genre, all the while lightin up an instrument like it has truly never been lit up before, or may never well be lit up again. without bill . . . well .. . if ya know, ya know.
