Any fans? God, I ADORE him... his music is so beautiful, so touching! He was a great songwriter, an amazing acoustic guitar player (my favorite, actually), and his voice, his voice is just so pure, so... I don't know, but I love it so much. So far, I have Fives Leaves Left and a few songs that I downloaded from his other albums (I'm going to get them all). Right now, I'm listening to "Fly" off Bryter Layter, it's one of my favorite songs by him.
you'll not be disappointed with the other two studio albums, impossible to pick a favourite as they're all sheer perfection and different in character
I like some of his work, but I have to be in the right mood for it. His voice has the tendency to get on my nerves at times. His first two albums are great, though - especially the John Cale produced Bryter Layter.
I LOVE nick drake! I have "An Introduction to Nick Drake" . I think my all-time favorite song would have to be "Pink Moon" followed by "Cello Song". I feel so at peace when I listen to his music. -Kate
HEY! This is really weird! I just bought Five Leaves Left today! Well, I haven't listened to it yet, but I have a feeling that I'll like it. Maybe I'll post later with my first impressions.
nick drake's music is beautiful i used to be more into him, havent listened to his music for a while.
I've heard all of his albums. He's one of my absolute favorite artists. I don't know which album is my favorite... Five Leaves Left and Bryter Layter are gorgeous, and Pink Moon is an album I relate to more than most any other. Time Of No Reply is all quality too.
Five Leaves Left has always been my favourite Drake album.. As someone mentioned though, I have to be in the right mood for it..
I'm listening to Five Leaves Left right now as I type this, and I have to say that it is really beautiful music. I can't tell yet if this is my kind of music or not, but it seems promising. (I always have to listen to albums a bunch of times to finally tell if I like them or not.)
nick drake is incredible. I had always heard pink moon on the radio and on tv and i always wondered who he was because the song was awesome. When i finally found out who he was from a friend, i just had to buy one of his cds. Pink Moon is an awesome cd. He is a great sondwritter. You can just feel his emotions in his words and his singing.
I love Nick Drake. I only recently heard of him, when I read an article about the new Brad Pitt narrated documentary about him. Now i've heard all his albums and my god they are beautiful. My favourite songs are...... too many to bother with a list
hmm i never really understood why a lot of people rate Pink Moon over the first two albums, it seems really short and unsatisfying when i listen to it the whole way through. maybe i'm not listening to it properly.
