The gathering was wonderful/wanderful for me....it was amazing.

I met some fantastic rainbow kids that I look forward to meeting again someday. I met some magical wonderful people in my travels there.

Reading through these posts I wonder who I may have run into and didn't even know it. I spent most of my evenings at the drum circle in the clearing next to Trader's Circle sweating and swooning, half naked to the beat of the drums, dancing in the firelight and playing among the sparks. If I had a quarter everytime somone had to lean in to pat the ashes out of my hair, I could have smoked the place out.

Granola Funk was great. I was on the Dating Game. I ended up winning a date, but the date never happened because I spent the next day in CALM. God bless those people there...it took seven of them to look at my feet and figure out what was wrong with them. They, however, did remind me what warm water felt like...although I still went back to my site, took off the riff-raff bandages they put on it...replacing it with tea tree oil and duct tape.

Mother Nature sure knew when to make it rain...she must have thought us hippies needed a shower or two. Thank you to the brother who gave me a rainbow gift of a sweater when the high winds and rain came in during main circle. I had a small top on that barely covered me. It was his birthday that day..."Hobbits give gifts on their birthdays." So with a loving hug and kiss we exchanged loving ,positive vibes.

I took my camera with me, with eight rolls of film. Admittedly, I didn't even take one complete roll. I found it impossible to capture such positive vibes and great energies with just a single photograph.

Never in my life have I met such loving people. I thank so many people for making my experience there a positive one. I even love those silly locals who knocked down Joe and I's rock cairns four times. We never gave up on it.

I also heard from an elder who walked by Joe and I's camp in the mornings, bringing us all sorts of goodies, that next year Rainbow will be in Colorado. Who knows? I'm not sure if the location really matters, it's certainly the energy that flows within it...

I long to go back home.

wow! i am so glad so many forumers had such great experiences at the gathering!
it would have been great to meet up with all of you, i met many forumers and its always been positive.
dill, your right, no one put up a note on info board. i stopped and scaned for hipforums but didn't take the time to make a note. next time i will for sure.
i wonder if i saw kayte or dancing annie at the drum circle? i was one of the shirtless brothers worshiping the fire front row saturday night. i fed the fire a good bit of time. that sister with the bubbles that reflected the fire and flashlights...that was rainbow magic :) sunday night i bailed for the veriety show at instant soup, damn that was a good show.

soaring eagle and others, i'm planning on going to ithica so if rides are needed do get in touch.
i attached a pic incase someone recognized me.

    love and light~

Dang it, Marie! We're not gonna get much closer to your back yard! But look for a big ol' East Coast NERF/Katuah Regional at the Barton Knob site (The "Strip Mine" alternative site) August of next year. only about, what, 3 or 4 hours out of the DC area?

    well family
    we did it
we had our little rainbow baby in the woods
i don't know if any of you heard about her but i guess there was another baby born besides our little magnolia jo rainbow
we didn't makea big spectacle out of it but it was an awesome experience
i want to thank anyone out there who was a part of it, you know who you are
    here's the birth story...
she came into the world on july 3rd at 3:07 am
the drum cirlce was peaking, as you know it does, as she crowned it was like a drum roll and then everyone cheered
then when she came out the drum circle stopped and all was silent except our little one crying her first cries
then while i fed her from my breast and we cleaned her off and waited for the cord to stop pulsating, one person played a soft drum beat like a heart beat in the distance
    it was so magical
    thanks family
    loving you
see you next year for her first birthday!!!
