Alright...so this is 6 days in...no brushing or combing, just washing with goats milk soap with tea tree oil in it. I will probaby switch to another soap soon, but haven't found one I like much. There is a lot of knotting already and you can see them forming into their own little dreadies all on their own. I haven't done any separating just yet...kind of want them to form as much on their own as poss. Any suggestions are always appreciated guys. P.S the hair is a little damp in this pic...I just washed it a little bit ago.
Looking good Baby! I've had mine a week today and seeing yours has made me feel more confident about the 'state' mine are in... yours look soooo neat though! Mine's just a big huge frizz! Keep going, have you noticed how much patience dreading needs?!
ahhh yes, patience is a virtue! I would love to see pics of yours. So far I am liking it. A few years ago I went with the separating and backcombing and I just wasn't real impressed with the way they turned out, so this time I am just gonna let em go. Good luck with yours!
OH YAAA! You won't have trouble with that at all! Your hair was made to dread, they look awesome!! We can keep these pics goin back and forth and see how they turn out. I just talked to a good friend and she said go for it too. It's nice to get some support...so many people are like, "why ya want to do that?" Cause, I CAN!!!!!
Lookin' so cool!!! Like I said in another thread... your head was made to dread!!! I would love to see monthly pics... updates... My old man has had his dreads for 10 years and I show him fellow dreadie pics and he always sez lookin' good to the ones that he appreciates. We have to get a way to post our photos on here.
wow those are looking really nice!!!! Thanks for the updates!!! You got the "looking good" seal of approval!!!
Alright...I month old...they are really starting to come together in the back and underneath. The top still has a ways to go, but gettin more knotty every day! P.S. Thanks Lenamarina for helpin me separate!
