I got relly frigging mad last day. I was out on the streat wearing my flowerd shirt(its not really that femenine). Some unknow undude dude comes up to me and started to provoke me like fuckung faggot ore something like that. I coutred that whit no im a hetrosexual hippie. That guy who is my enemy in life for today just said "hippeis, gays,same shit". It really pissed me off. But lots of people do take hippies for gays. I cry for my generation.
First of all, you don't mention your age. I am clueless as to which generation you belong. Secondly, I am not sure what exactly really pissed you off. Are you upset about being labelled gay? Are you upset that this person thought that being a hippie and being gay were mutually inclusive (or is that not mutually exclusive?)? Thirdly, if you are not gay, WTF are you doing here? That person is ignorant and is not worththe time to think about. forget him and move on. It would really piss me off too but if I thought about all the ppl that piss me off in one day than I wouldn't have time for anything else.
He may be ignorant, but I'm amazed to see people on a love and tolerance endorsing site talking about enemies for life. If you're a hippy then forgive him, love him, and move on.
Just don't hold grudges; people can be cruel. If someone is ignorant of something, they tend to opt for their view as it seems most right to them... I luckily haven't gotten any harassment from being out, dressed in the manner that I find expresses myself best. Although, it does bring a smile to my face when little kids ask me whether or not I'm a girl, and then comment on my voice. I just tell them that it is just a voice, it doesn't say who I am.
Well... IF someone is getting in your face the issue is that they are getting in your face it doesn't mattter what theyare saying. No matter where you are or who you meet in life there is always that chance someone will try to get under your skin. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. The most important thing you can do brothers and sisters is never respond to an individual with the negative energy they tried to inflict on you. Always treat others with the respect they give you and if they try to bring you down walk away and don't look back on their negative force.
Thats true. Howerver ignorant hummans have made my life hell the last three years. People im have forgiven but keeps on going on to provoke me. Duncan, why i was upset by being labelled gay, was not becuse I disspise homosexulas. In fact I usally try to tell people to not be homofobic or emply gender rolls.
