lol, this isn't nearly as good as the others, but meh.

anyway i went to see the lovely lovely phoenix foundation last night. They told the crowd that that was their last song, and, naturally, once one guy started clapping and going 'more, more' they came back on.

but just before that, the dude who started the slow clap looked around delightedly and said, ever so proudly, "wow, i'm responsible for so much coordination!" i was the only one who heard him and i cracked up, he saw me and we both laughed - it was a great moment.

another time, I was at a One Love concert and this guy from the band Rhombus stopped 1/2 way through a song and shouted "George Bush is an Egg"
(yes i know that wasn't technically from the crowd, but it cracked me up anyway)

    lmao... oh, where to begin...

I was at a Yonder show recently and a drunk guy was dressed in all YMSB attire... and he kept rambling on and asked me three times if I liked Bluegrass, I said yes (three times) and then he was like "Well, if you don't, you gotta hear this guy play mandolin" and he kept yelling and throwing beer on people... lmao. It was funny as shit because I was baked and he scared the piss out of me because he walked up behind me and I thought I knew him or he knew me from somewhere or something... I also went to a BB King show and some guy was like "BB King is a badass" and he started chuckling. BB always has something to say, though... ahaha.

Then another time "Warren Haynes is a bad motherfucker" when he came right on stage and he just stood there like "okay..." for a a couple seconds and then went about his business... There was also the time where they had that bassist with the fake name who tried to attack Warren when he was playing a show with the Mule. Ahaha... I still am not sure if that was really a joke or what. I have no idea.

Ohhhh, then there was another time at a CSN concert where an entire crowd kept yelling Freebird and Stephen got pissed and threw his guitar in the air, then Graham started giving people the Finger... it was so funny, but kind of sad. We wondered if it was just a joke or something... At a different show, someone kept yelling "Treetop Flyer" and Stephen seemed kind of tense because it was a big military area, then David started talking about the jets always flying around the amphitheatre...

Another time there were some people on X at a Jimmy Buffett concert I went to and I got hit in the head with a Corona bottle that came from some row above me... I was wearing a straw hat so that kind of shielded it, but there was a few lime quarters and glass all in my hat when I got out of the concert and someone puked all over the sidewalk as we were leaving. Way too many drunk babyboomers... :p

I've seen Phish five or six times and I've seen some wild shit and heard some things said there... Some guy had a van with camp set up and he made me a macaroni and cheese sandwich when I was buying a grilled cheese from him then he said to himself "Oh, what in the hell have you been smoking" ahaha... It's amazing the things I've seen at venue parking lots at those shows and I only saw them a handful of times.

Another time I was at a Styx/Frampton concert and there were lotsa baby boomers and older people there. Someone threw like an entire box of panties onstage and hit James and Tommy with them and they were all over them and their guitars. Then when Frampton came on he shot me in the face with his t-shirt gun and I ended up meeting him after the concert. He also had a woman who kept flipping her hair around and he said that she was giving him flashbacks... :p

Then there has been the crazy bathroom shit... a guy was tripping or was drunk/stoned or something and he kept pissing alllllll over the place and he ended up pissing on another guy and they started shouting at each other...

Orsino, I was at the Steve Kimock STFU show here in Denver!
Why do people pay good money to get into a show and then talk through the set about the other shows they have seen?
I asked one guy how many he'd heard.

this lady standing next to me the other night at the dylan/nelson show was complaining... she goes "god... i wish he'd play some of his older songs instead of all this new stuff" right after dylan finished playing Highway 61 Revisited... guess 40years isnt old enough for her

jokerman, read the review of that Dylan show and it sounded alright, except the St Paul paper said he played "stuck in Memphis with the Memphis blues again" did the name of that song change :) ? My daughter went to see him last year and said "all the old people wouldn't dance!!"

anyway, here's one I forgot: at Umphreys a few months ago (at a club) I was the designated driver and was standing around (sober!!) after the show to round up all my crew. This guy stopped by and said "you look like you're waiting for something..." I said, "yeah, I'm waiting for all the drunks". He said "well, we're all here!!"

I know, that gets to me when people won't shut up during a set. It's even more irritating for people who are recording for tape trades...

yea it was a great show... lots of energy... lot less older people than you'd expect at a dylan/nelson concert... most of the people seemed to be 20-30y/o... it was packed... but yet comfy... you had room to move and there was a nice breeze blowin... nelson did an awesome job... so did nelsons son.. he's flippin awesome.. that kid can sing and play some blues... watch out for him... Dylan was awesome... his voice started out not the greatest... but after 2 songs it was cleared up... jammed on the harp... was suprise how much he still gets into the harp playing.. figured he's just stand there.. nope he was bendin knees and bendin back and forth and all around just jammin away

i was at a free show yonder mountain was playing in laramie, and the two kids standing next to me were jumping around playing "air mandolin". i just stared at them awkwardly until they felt ashamed and stopped. not a word was exchanged, but it was the funniest thing i've ever experienced at a show, topping the times people have tried to buy shrooms and weed from me or my friend's mom.

Guy1: Oh I saw Kiss on their reunion tour and it was brilliant they had guitars that fired rockets and everything. Incredible

Guy2: Well I went to see Whitesnake and they had balloons

Oh god, I just saw ABB/moe. That was a damn good show and I was in ORCH 2... moe. reminds me of ymsb and primus crossed together, for some reason.

I heard so many comments at that show... I can't remember anything right now (heh).
