Some women irritate me.

 

Why can't we have have a world where there is no distiction, where men and womyn share equal power or one where nobody rules?

 

if women ruled the world there'd be a war every 28 days. all the cramps and then the economy drops or the cat shits on the rug and it's canada's fault because the french told them to do it. and it was the brits idea that they borrowed from india. which was a big thing in asia.

Women Are Sitting On A Fortune Anyway.

 

I agree on this one. We should have equal rights, power, etc. But the problem is that there will always be someone (a man or a woman) who will look down on others, will feel the urge to reign to his/her own evil standards , ... And I do not think that it's a good idea to "push the men of their throne" so we, women, can go sit on it. I believe it's about communication. People must talk with each other and everybody has to get the possibility to speak.

Yeah, but THIS is already happening and has been for centuries. You don't need anything NEW to make this happen. DUH!

Women wouldn't do any better at ruling the world than men do. Hell, men don't even rule the world. There are plenty of places where women reign.

And, here's a tidbit for all you idiots who think women in charge would mean an end to war...

Women lead the war councils of several Native American tribes. The men couldn't go to war unless they allowed it and, guess what, the Native Americans warred plenty.

 

yeah, women can be just as violent as any man. in fact, most of the trouble and ass-whippin's i got were dealt by women. have you never been with a girlfriend at a bar when she sees her ex with a new girl? pscyho-land, i tell ya.

Women are more emotional than men for the most part, so women alone running the world would prolbably be a really bad idea, what you need is balance. Men and women balance eachother out when you get right down to it, what we need is equality.

And it's very true that women would prolbably war as much as men, in any group you have peacful people and violent people, women are no different.

Women could rule the earth if we all banded together instead of doing stupid things like fighting over men and fasion, but it wouldn't be a good idea, just like men alone ruling the world wouldn't be a good idea.

It's all about balance, folks, everything is about balance...

 

Whether or not it is a man or a woman in a position of power doesnt matter to me....I want to see the best person for the job.....a good person, a kind person, and one that cares. War is inevidable no matter what gender is in power....as long as there are people in power willing to go to war. Yeah....Fuck Bush!

 

Examples?

I can't think of any confirmable, modern societies where this is true. Even the "native americans had womyn lead the tribes" has little real historic fact behind it.

 

I read in a book about "intimate relationships" that in southern part of India (probably kerala), there are a few villages where still some of the ancient Indian customs are still carried out- ofcourse in my view these are ignorant people, but you might find this interesting...

It is some tribe... I forgot what tribe it is, but in these tribes - most of these people aren't tribal now (I think). In some of these tribes women are the dominant ones. They can pick any guy out of any place and any age and have sex with him and as long as they want but he has to stay with her until she is done being in love with him, after that she kicks him out of the house and gets another person if she wants or she can keep him and marry him. In some rural villages , if the man refuses to leave when he is asked too , he is killed. If the woman picks a guy who is of a lower caste, she is killed.

However, i have also read that in most parts in Southern india, women marry guys and get them to stay with them instead of them going to the guy's place to live and in some places in southern India, it is an ancient custom to give women all the money in inheritance.

You said that you cannot think of any modern societies, but most of these customs are still followed by some people who still live in the modern society in India while doing the jobs that they do .

With that said,

It doesn't matter who rules who, the fact is we are all controlling some aspects of each other's lives.

If I have a wife, she will control me and I will control her. With the whole society in mind, we can say that today and in the past women and men were in control of each other.

Men may control women through strength, but women still controlled men with their emotions. Helen of troy, Cleopatra, Roman princesses, Rani Jhansi Laxmi bhai... and many others.

The only problem with the society today in my view is that it goes to the past and blames "everyone" of that group who are living in the present.

Take African Americans for example, some of them DO have a tendency to discriminate whites away from themselves and some people blame whites for discrimination while discriminating against whites themselves. I have seen this in real life, no offense to any one here.

Take some Hindus in India for example, they blame all the muslims for every wrong thing that happened in the past, but the muslim Indians who are living in India today did nothing for it... because they are from this generation... but they are still blamed for something that they are not even part of.

Same thing with women, they blame guys as if the women are being subjugated today. They blame guys for simple things and have man hating conversations ... (some of them not all).

and take many Americans today for example, they blame Saddam for every bad thing in the world and they blame all muslims for every bad thing in the world ...

So, whats the problem? - The attitude. The person who has wronged you is already out of this world. Still, you take a certain group and blame them to quench your thirst for "justice".
