First of all let me say that this is not a direct hot towards any person that is on this website becasue i know taht the majority of the people here are not racist. Second i know that people will point out that i said earlier that i do not date outside my race. To me that is not racisim. I dont feel like getting into a discuission about it. Last night some preteen kids vadalised our car and our house. They vadalised our guests car as well. They taped a note to his car that said. "BGW Blacks Gone Wild, Cracker " and then ther threw crackers on our two cars and threw eggs at our door. This attack was totally unprovoked. We have never so much as spoken to them except to say hello. We are never anything but polite to them. The attack only happened to us becasue we are one of very few white people liveing in our neighborhood. To most people this would not seem like too big of a deal, but what happens when the parents get involved and it escalates. What did they want to provoke us for when we have done nothing to them but be white. Black people in general seem to always be acting like we are the ones who are racist but they are the ones to me it seems that teach there children to hate fear and distrust us. Not the other way around, at least not in my family. That's how it is in our neightborhood atleast. I know to some of you i sound like a bitch and im sorry for that but i just want to unsderstand why white people have to learn all this tollerence and show kindness and back down from every conflict and act like people, instead of animals who get off on hurting peoples ears with loud "music" and make there neighbors live in fear of them because they all talk about killing eachother with guns and knives and how much they hate white people and all we do is sit back and keep our mouths shut and we are the ones being called racist. Well i know damn well I dont teach my daughter to hate based on skin color and she shure the fuck would never in a million years come to a strangers house and vandalise there house and car and friends car. And write nasty things on the back of her homework paper calling anyone a dirogatory name. Because my daughter is raised with rules and a bed time. So maybe i went to far in this post and i expect to be told off for it but if we are not allowed to express how we feel then what is the point of this forum. I just want to say to all those Black mothers and fathers out there that are teaching these behaviors to your children don't call me racist until you look in the mirror.

I'm not saying that they should have done this, or that they have the right to do this, but stop and look at things from their point of view. If you and your family/ancestors were oppressed and made to be slaves I'm sure you would have/show alot of anger and hatred towards whoever would do such an awful thing.

Obviously you didn't understand what I said. I don't think that any culture should resort to violence or abuse of any kind as a way of getting back for what has happened in their past. The point I was trying to get across was that gillianwind acts like African Americans have no reason to be upset or angry with white americans. Well, they do. What does the past have to do with today in this situation? Todays blacks have never seen slavery and have never felt the pain that was inflicted on their ancestors. Just because their hoods are piles of shit due to gang violence and drug dealers doesn't make it the white mans fault. They can stop the hate if they want to. They need to quit making excuses and find something more productive to do then crying and whining about how bad they have it.

I grew up as part of the only white family in a minority neighborhood in Flint, MI. I never suffered from a bit from racisim. Sure, I would come across the bitter african-american from time to time because they have been so sterotyped, but their frusteration wasn't racism. Now I live in a predominately white area, and the retarded white neighbor of ours blasts music loudly for about 5-6 hours a day - much more annoying than the occasional bass-pumped car that rolls by the house in my old neighborhood. But there is no talking to reasoning like you (believe me, I have come across my fair share). You complain about racisim by blacks in the same exact post where you make gross generalizations and sterotypes about them. No wonder they treat you like shit in your neighborhood. No matter the skin color, no one likes idiots.
Tenagers will do property damage as a way to blow-off steam. Pls dont take it personally. Just hoze off the car. Be sympathic to people feeling that gentrification will eventually push them out of the neighborhood. Prices are sooo high with this housing bubble.

ahhh... the old racist vs stereotyping argument. Stereotyping is NOT the same as being racist. If someone believes something to be true of a certain race doesn't automatically mean they hate the entire race because of that belief. Yes, racists do use stereotyping constantly, but that doesn't mean everyone that stereotypes is a racist.

The kids who did that to your house and car were idiots, raised by idiot parents. Call the police and file a report, hose off you car, and forget about it. Even if you know where the kids lived, telling their parents probably wouldn't do anything but get you flamed. Teenagers do property damage, but they don't do it to just one house. Doing it to just one house is discrimination. Some teenagers came to my street and bashed out the car windows out every car that was outside (they stopped at my house, cause my dog barked at them).
