heh...for a split second I thought adelics sig was one of the 3d pics!!! *slaps myself for being such a noof brain*
Google Satellite Maps are pretty good too, even though not as hi-tech. Australia is now covered partially and in main big cities you can zoom in close enough to recognise houses and cars etc..
It'll be really neat when they have the entire globe put on it. It would be cool to see what China and Inida look like in real time, or the islands somewhere. Or one could see the Seven Wonders or you get the idea. It's pretty neat. And sort of freaky.
ok whos ready for conspiracy theories? hehe go to 'sundown spring' and tell me what te fuck that is im disspaointed that the sydney CBD isnt in clear, whereas the rest of our city is lol. at least i can see my house. but i dont think it will ever be real time. that would be silly. however, what would be GOOD is if the pictures went closer. my favourite thing to do is go to siberia and look at teh landscapes and the shorelines. i love looking at rivers and waterways. google earth has made me want to go to siberia for some reason anyway, google earht is evidently MUCH better for americans, caus the services like finding hotels and pharmacies and that dont work in australia, tehonly thing thatdoes are some city names and highway plotting
Heh, I like looking at the mountains, the Himalayas are cool as hell, so is Alaska, because you can tilt the thing down and get a view of the topography. But I'm gonna go check out Siberia now Anyways, I'm noticing that the closer views are not satelite images, but airplane flybys. You can tell because you can see the sides of some buildings. I can see the sides of the apartments across the street from my house, and you can see the sides of the Washington Monument in D.C., but satelites always look straight down (because they're so high up). I think all the greyish areas are where airplanes have done close-up shots.
I did, and found nothing out of the ordinary. Just boring ass kansas..What am i soposed to be seeing here?
ok theres something really really wierd in the african desert. close inspection shows that its some very wierd water-section but from far away it looks like a MASSIVE mountain with a huge shadow look around northern africa for a huuuge black streak in the middle of the desert, you dont have to zoom too close but make it so your screen has like a quarter of the desert in it and it should be close enough
Wow thats ace. I just looked up my girlfriend's house (i've not yet been as she lives in canada), know where i'm staying now
