I'm starting a nomadic tribe, intended to both demonstrate alternatives to mainstream society and promote the widespread sharing of information on tribalism, biocentric ideas, and the threat of society. I'm looking for good people interested in a somewhat minimalist tribe to travel nationaly or globaly, supporting each other through non-mainstream paths like art and music, and working to spread some of the messages that a modern destructive society needs so desperately to hear. I'd like to create a truly tribal experience, and I think that there's a lot of fun to be had and good things to be accomplished. No hard drugs, alchoholism, sexism, racism, or negative lifestyles/behaviors please. Knowledge of tribalism, life sciences, and social problems a plus, but not neccesary, there's plenty for all of us to learn. Like to explore a new path together? I'd love to hear from you. James
that would be cool...do you have something to travel in as yet? Know of anywhere to get a school bus and transform it into a living in vehicle?
I have a car, but no bus yet. I'm thinking it probably won't take long for a large group of people to save up for a bus. A bunch of cars would work too, but would cost more for gasoline.
Buy an old school bus and convert it into a camper that runs on vegetable oil....there's a dude on here that did that, or something like that. Or you could talk to Blinkin from the nomadic tribe thread and check out his bus. I'm pretty sure that someone on these here forums has a bus, maybe even one for sale.
ask on these forums...or post a notice in your local churches or check out local community centre...I bet you will find one.
a bus is a good idea. also i found this site about yurts. Now these things are cool. here is a site to explain http://www.doingfreedom.com/gen/0600/nca.yurt.html
sign me up, man. i'm all for changing my living space. the town i live in is sooo boring. nothing groovy happens here.
hey this sounds familiar... if you want a bus, go to allied bus sales, they sell ten year old buses for companies like laidlaw and other major bus companies, get one with a governer that is set at 120 km hr or 70 miles an hour...You WILL regret it if you get the one set at 55 ...BELIEVE me there are many companies who convert to veg oil and you can travel for free.....free is good, you need a way to make money in different towns and cities..this is an important part of the community..also a social structure..I mean its good dreaming to think that you an put a whole bunch of people on a bus and hope it all works out..but it doesnt work that way. anarchy simply does not work ..or at least it does noty work long term, so unless you just want a short trip plan some sort of structure to govern the bus and eachother, communal voting, you WILL pick up people and they will add to your collective and you will lose people along the way the highway child nomadic tribe has an elder system such as folk who have been on the bus for more than so many miles become elders they govern the group...the captain has vito...this does not mean he is all powerfull but that he can say no when the tribe gets destructive based upon whatever situation....have meetings often with the members... oh and a kitchen is deffinatley important, many times you just are not in an area where you can cook by fire so be prepared.. make sure you ask a lot of questions before people get on your bus, make sure you are not going to jeopordise your community because one person does wants to cause trouble or have previously caused trouble and is wanted by the law.. you will get attention so work with it talk to a lot of people about what you are doing this helps in whatever money making idea you might have..it just does dont tell border guards what you are doing they WILL cause you problems...simply say you are on a road trip. man I could write about this all day, If you are serious about doing this I would love try to answer any questions you may have. or even if you want maybe we could join up and add to eachother.... peace and good journeys
Great idea James. I started a post called "Magic Bus Ride" I think it's on the next page. I've thought quite a bit about this particular idea and I'm almost starting to think hitchhiking would be the best way to travel. If you google "Kinga Chopin Hitchhike" there are two people who did this, but I don't really see a reason why more than two couldn't do it. One senario being, (pair off into groups of 2 or 4, hitch for a week together to a destination, then gather for a week or whatever and so on.) It would be so much cheaper that way, extremely flexable as far as money's concerned and members goes and hitchhiking is obviously a lot of fun, never know what you're gona get. Groups would be two girls and two guys, and every girl that wanted to would always have a guy to basically protect her. A bus deffinately could work, but after a lot of thought on my part, it's deffinately going to take a lot of money, a lot of rules, much preparation and a lot of dedication on the part of all members. Maybe I'll post about this idea on the forum later on, I've got to sell my airplane first before I can go anywhere, hopefully within the month it'll be sold. Cheers Mates, George
