I don't consider lying and not presenting true facts to be a great way to make a documentary, no matter what the views expressed are.
i think he wants to be Abbie Hoffman.... okay really that was a totally tupid and random blurb of shite exiting my mouth... but WHAT IF IT WERE TRUE?!?!?!?!?! hahaha no I really don't mind him one way or the other. I agree with some things in some of his books/movies, but he's no messiah. At this point, he's just making Dick Cheny mad, causing him to sit in his office muttering "DAMN YOU LIBERALS!"....... ..... ..... ..... and then he hugs his teddy bear. hahaha thats a funny picture. no really im sorry that was kinda mean. oh well, pretty much it's all the same to me. I'll see the movie. I've got piss else to do anyways.... im beginning to think I should've never opened my mouth.... oops.
the only michael moore movie i liked was downsize this, I think it was called(not totally sure) the one with the businesses..but other than that, havent seen any others..
im seeing it tonight...ill tell u guys what i thought tommorow im gonna beleave anything that michael says about bush...because i hate bush, i like michalel moore and his documentarys, im to lazy to make up my own mind. vote kucinich
I know how you feel.... I have a rather terrible memory meself. S'okay. I even forget what I was going to say about it, anyway.
I am not anti-bush, nor for him. I honestly don't believe that we should be anti any person, but thats not the point. Many people just follow him blindly because he's so different and challenges the big guy, the man in charge. Well hey, I would like to shout out an offer to open your minds ina new direction. Micheal Moore Hates America A documentary that tells the truth about a great nation http://www.michaelmoorehatesamerica.com/trailer_sm.html oh and btw, I'm not for Kerry neither... personally there's very little difference between the two. Vote NADER! but if you do, Kerry would lose votes that would have gone to him had Nader not been running, and so would give Bush the advantage.... politics!!!
hey I just got back from the movie... I'll try not to give too much away, but I will say it was very good. You hardly saw Michael Moore at all, he showed up very little on screen. This was good because many people cringe with loathing at just the sight of him. These kind of people didn't have Moore on screen to get mad at, though they did have his voice, as he narrated it. Still, the effect was better. I think this documentary could reach out and affect many different people, -even possibily conservatives (gasp!). I sat front row it was amazing to see peoples reactions. At many parts, the vast majority of the theatere was in tears. When the President came on-screen towards the end of the film, people were booing and yelling "BULLSHIT!" -It was great to see. If I hadn't been with my parents, I would've invited them to riot in the streets... and most of them would've come! There was very little I didn't already know, just fuel to the fire. But I did learn some very unsettling facts ... My mother asked me what I thought of the film- i said.. "Vote Kerry '04." I lots of people see this and do just that. Don't think of it as voting for Kerry- think of it as voting against Bush. Wow, Moore made our president look bad....
God, you guys. That movie was SO fucking good. It's so touching. It is based on true, documented evedence. I mean, even if you LOVE Dubya, go see this movie. It is more than worth the 6.50 or however much it is in your area.
$6.50 ??? where do you live? here its $9.00 !! ahhh... but I agree, it's sooo worth it! LETS RIOT IN THE STREETS!!!! ...well I just might do that!
I'm on the fence with Moore. While I'm all for bashing Bush, and while Fahrenheit 911 looks good, he's basically a self-glorified blatant opportunist. He's a bleeding heart liberal for christ's sake. I'm a liberal and I don't buy into anything that guy tries to feed us without questioning it first. "Bowling for Columbine" was so fucking disappointing. Instead of trying to get deep down into the issue and why the tragedy happened, he instead never anwsered his own questions and veered off into other topics like racism, welfare, poverty, pollution, and corporate America. While watching this it was obvious this guy has different agendas. I really want to see Fahrenheit 9/11 but I won't swallow everything this guy tries to feed me.
Good movie. People laughed, people cried. I saw 4 of my professors in the theater, smart people hate Bush... No facts to dispute really in this film, just the obvious, we went to war for a bullshit reason and it's sad.
