Custom Van/Morrison ~ Hippy Hotel hide-a-bed - Black lights optional

Has anybody not seen the old VW vans, at least in movies? I'd like to outfit & get a road trip together with one of them & go from coast to coast. Any kind of RV would work, too. Reading up on the Merry Pranksters.

Does anyone have such a potential vehicle to convert? It could be normal on the outside so as not to attract too much attention (authorities are smarter now) but retro on the inside, like walking into another time & dimension.

Needs new curtains & a raised roof; sound sysos--has speakers. Basically excellent mechanics by body shoppe but needs comforts

 

I dunno what's wrong with my reality, but since every other car is inhabited by someone who thinks differently, why isn't there one in every driveway or every other one on the road?

 

Just saw a VW van a little while ago.....,,, would love to have one of my own!! Actually been thinking about getting a 5th wheel and a mini- van to pull it, and living at campgrounds and working dumb- ass temp jobs.....ANYTHING to get "out of here"

 

Oh yeah, Ohio. There are many vortexes in the universe & I am stuck in the alternate one. Funny about the jobs. My Dad always said he would prefer to do a 'dumb job' --one where it required no thought. Saves our brains for actual creativity. I really think moving is change & therefore one of the fundamentals to keep us happy as human beings.

 

I live in Southern California. They abound.

 

Just to let you know, cops target these vans nowadays. FFS some cops even pull over regular cars with dead or phish stickers on them, solely for that reason. It's usually an easy bust of a normally harmless person. I was told by NYS K-9 when I got stopped with a couple oz's that anytime they see a phish sticker they know they're "either getting weed, mushrooms, or pcp." It isn't the sixties anymore unfortunately...

 

Yes, yes, right about the old 60's - 70's ride, peace signs on the outside advertising what's inside...but...)
