SHUT UP!!!!! CAN YOU DO THAT?!?!?! ok seriously, i dont mean this to be a hostile thread, i havent even read the other thread of the similar name, i just thought this was funny. i actually used to go to skate parks all the time, and get made fun of by ciggarette-smoking 8 year olds who could do better tricks than me. and now, even though i still love to ride my skateboard, i think the whole world of skateboarding is a sham. i mean have you ever read thrasher?? its one big shoe commercial. so here's the moral of the story, dont buy a thrasher mag, only wear skateshoes you got at independent skate shops or thrift stores, and dont go see that horrible lords of dog town remake. thank you.
i could never get into the whole skate boarding thing...i didnt get into the whole activity thing either
Skateboarding is cool. But it got to be too popular, now it even has its own stereotype. And thats not cool. I have to piss.
A couple of my friends and I would terrorize the neighbourhood while thrashing in-line. I miss in-line. Imma get some soon.
I can see your point but i really dont think any of this is important.i know skating has a shitty feel about it with the way it's seen by people and people who just buy into it becouse it's cool but what does that matter in terms of you and your skate board. You know what skatings about or what it's not about so what should it matter what other people think or say. I used to think the same and get really pissed off with the whole thing but when you think of it as a personal thing skateboarding really comes to life for me. I love to skateboard and hopefully will do so until my legs wear to thin and i think u cant let what skating is seen as take away from what it is.(know matter how cheesey the next tony hawk game is) sorry if my post donst make sence they never do when i read them back but i hope i got my point across. It's cool to hear people who feel strongly about skating in the forums or anywhere for that matter. nice talking to ya
when did i say this thread was important?? i dunno, i try not to think about other people and what they do with skateboarding, but when it becomes such a bloated corperate ad campaign (sp) filled with little rooster booster buying twats, its not something i really want to associate with.
