Does anyone know what can make your period end faster? I really want this to go away and its like a day.

Not really, your body has to rid itself of the unneeded blood and tissue which has built up, and a day isn't enough to do that. Womyn on the pill have shorter periods, because there is less build up, but even most of them menstruate for more than a single day.

You can always look into menstrual extraction. It's a minor surgical procedure and femminysts used to teach it at their recruitment centres. It technically could also abort anything you're carrying in the first month, so it was taught as a kind of retroactive birth control.

It's not surgery. You basically use a small hand pump like a brake bleeder. You can be taught to use one and use it at home. Many elite female athletes who still menstruate use this technique.

Do be very careful using any technique like that and get proper training--it is possible to do some damage.

Basically I think you just need to get used to it. Most people aren't fond of menstruating but its part of the deal with being female.....

In the short term If you go on the pill you can chose not to menstruate at all for a while like on a holiday or over particular events.

My best friend Angelina has a problem where she gets her period for months at a time, then it stops for months at a time. So the doctor gave her pills to regulate her period. She takes one kind of pill around when for three and a half weeks, to keep her period from coming, and another for a week to get it to come. Then, at the end of the week, she stops taking the first kind of pill to get her period to stop. It's some weird kind of perscription birth control pill, I think. But I don't know how healthy it is to take them if you don't have the same kind of problem as she does, or if your doctor will even give it to you.

I used to think I was weird because my period lasts about 3 days and it's a very light flow, to the point that a tampon/pad isn't really needed (a panty liner works fine).. My friends mother would have a period for a straight week bleeding so heavily she would use a tampon along with 2 pads..
