Hoping we all escaped unscathed on this one. Check in, all right? War breeds war. One day may be all be smart enough to have another solution.
It was crazy. My auntie was supposed come over from Ireland but she decided not to because of the trouble with trains and stuff. The whole of London was at a standstill I went out for a bit, the streets were almost empty it was kinda errie. No buses, no tubes it was weird. I dont like this at all it was a horrible, the attacks I my sympathy's go out to the families of the dead and the injured. Tragic day for London and Britain. I fear now the outcome of this, I can see Racial tensions running high and innocent Muslims getting undeserved abuse because of these attacks. These truely are worrying times.
I sure wish some of the UK people would post just sos we know they are OK. Fleassy and JC are in Canada, so safe. But what about ever so lovely Johanna (kosmic blue), Sax Machine, Fountain of Nay, Peace-Phoenix, Claire, StarFly, Ellie-Rose, I can't remember them all........... Like a roll call. Are you here?
Well i'm ok, i know we havent met yet but as you've shown so much compassion i have to raise my hand, i'm safe but shocked. And i can tell you that dreadlockswampy is ok as well, he's tucked up in bed but shocked also.
Hey! thanks, I wish others would post in this thread, too, but I've been gone for a few hours so maybe they are accounted for? There's alot of people in London, so it's unlikely anyone we know is hurt or worse. Right?
yeah i think everyone is ok, claire knows somebody at work, who couldnt find her twin brother, she left the site before i could ask if everything was ok, i'll ask tomorrow, fingers crossed anyway, we'll see
I'm waiting to see posts by everyone, my nerves are going to be on end until I do. We need to make a list of the London/thereabouts Hipforumers. If I make a start, people can cut that and then add to it in their post, and then we can tick them off when we know they're safe. Jaz Sunny Peace-Phoenix Kosmic Blue
I'm ok. I had a meeting for yesterday morning in Islington and fortunately the day before I had changed it to the afternoon. Needless to say I didn't make it there. I'm so lucky though, because my wife literally works two blocks from two of the explosions, including the bus. She gets home using King's Cross and had to walk to Finsbury Park instead...but fortunately she came out unscathed...
I dont really know any of you but i still want to make sure yer all ok... don't worry about a thing cause every little thing is gonna be alright
I've never posted in the UK forum before, but today, well, I know many of our hip forums family live and work there. Our thoughts are with you all. And thanks drumminmama for this thread that expesses the concern that we all share for our London Family.
I'm okay... But i'm really worried about Sal... My thoughts are going out to all those who have died and all those who are experiencing horrible losses. I'll be meditating and sending some prayers. Love, Sunny xxx
hey thanks for all your concern and prayers for London...its gonna need it, especially cos of racial tension and pointless hatred towards something no-ones sure of its that... its really strange, because EVERY thursday morning for the last three months i've crossed london on the underground at rush hour...but this week we decided to rehearse on a different day, so i didn't go in... can only be thankful
We're fine. It takes more than that to knock our stiff upper lips! Hope everyone saw on the news how all the londoners evacuated to safety in such a calm and dignified manner. None of that Hollywood style panic in the streets.
Sal wasn't in london, he drove to heathrow to pick up his girlfriend who he hasn't seen in months, he's probably in bed . Failing that he might be in scotland at the protest, but unlikely. Anyway can anyone imagine SAL being UP and awake at 9 in the morning?!! The pictures looked pretty bad, the bus one was quite graphic, but as far as i can tell, no forums peeps were involved. To be honest due to the time of the explosions, it would have been mostly commuters, mothers and children going to and from schools and also the odd tourist.
Yaaay! I was really litting my imagination run away with me about sal! And yep, i agree with Sax Machine... We're scarily good at putting a brave face on things... Love, Sunny xxx
Hey I'm from the US and i went out to breakfast and next to my table was a tv. I watched what happened and it was a horrifying reminder of 9-11 when the US was hurt also. I remember the hurt and pain of everyone, and now we have men dying in "our" war. I hope that everyone is ok, that the actions taken in the future if for the benifit of the UK.
sal was in london but i have heard from him and he is okay so dont worry everyone.. they slept in yesterday
