I've decided to try a few hats with bills...modified from my original bill pattern to be a little smaller and have a 'wired' edge so the bill is 'posable'. What do you think? Do you think it's worth the extra work to add the wire? The body of the hat is the same, with the adjustable drawstring and stash pocket.
No, it doesn't take much to add the wire when assembling the bill...I'm just lazy and would rather make hats without any bill.
Personally, I don't like hats with stiff brims, because i always hit them on things. But, I like how they look and I know others who prefer brims. Your hats look wicked cool... and if I was going to have a hat with a brim I would want to mold the brim, so the wire is a good idea.
