can i just please say, having read these latest postings on here from all you guys....im highly disappointed and angered at the direction this post is taking.

we, a group of generally peaceful people, arguing over who is to blame, arguing with each other over a fact which is non yet known. a splinter group of al quaeda have laid claim to the attack, but that is the nature of these groups. the ira laid claim to attacks the never committed. it is not yet clear who is the cause of these atrocities and yet not only have they caused this physical and vry real tragedy in the centre of london, look what they have done emotionally to the people of the entire uk. where has the love gone, not for the people who have done this, but for each other, for the innocent people of the united kingdom, those injured and those not directly involved at all like us, all sat here at our computers. we should be uniting together. i understand it is natural to feel angry at the events of today. i understand the reasons people who have been treated badly through war or otherwise by the uk may have a motive against the country, i understand there are scary fanatical religious extremists out there. terrorism exists! we do not yet have facts on the true cause or reasoning behind what happened today, so why are we arguing over it. we are people, intelligent people who should be able to coexist as a group, and respond without hitting out blindly in the dark and attacking our neighbour.

i'm not suggesting that you shouldn't question it.. im questioning it.. i'm still questioning 9/11.
but to question it based on the theory that "the media always lies" is propostourous(sp*)
i've not been watching t.v its only midday here in canada, but i have been reading the sites that peple have put links to. what i think we need to remember when looking at this incodent is yes... governmental agendas maybe at the for front of the atrocity, but also that religious fundamentalism is real. be it islamic or christian. it is just as posible that this is an act proposed by a nutter and acted out by stupid people that seem to think the nutter is right. how is that less likely than saying " its the government fabricating another reason to goto war.

i think that to come to any conclusion less than 12 hours after the event with no real evidence to support any opinion at all, accept a lot of carnage and a website that claims reasponsibility, cannot reall be considered valid. thats not even enough to build a logical theory out of.

im all for conspiricy theories, but at the moment i am subscribing to nothing other than the fact that it happened and people are dead.

can i please just say....there is no need whatsoever to respond to the words of *Statistic#514v3* the name of the poster says to me that they are here to cause tension and not necessarily a regular poster (tho i have not checked their post number total to verify that). (s)he is getting our backs up at a time when we should be joining together.

this is not a time to be arguing over religion and racism. they are topics best left alone till everyone has calmed down a little and then we can have a rational discussion.

for now lets all join together. we are aware the media can be a soure of propaganda, telling us what they want, when they want, because they can. once we are aware we can choose to listen or not listen, a choice every human being has.

but lets not argue about it all. anger is a horrible emotion and can cause terrible devastation as we have seen in todays events in london, and in global events.

so can i please ask once again for us to be a group, to calm down and accept that however terrible this is, it has happened, and let the people with the power find out what has happened. what they choose to let us know after that may or may not be biased but as we have no say in that, lets just be aware of it. awareness is key.

and statistic person who is initiated hatred and anger within this forum is not welcome, so lets ignore his/her presence and continue with an educated discussion like the open minded and intelligent people we are

i dont think we're getting at each others throats, except that statistic guy he kinda riled everyone. but the rest of us here are having a very grown up debate on how it is you go about creating an objective oppinion when all you really have is everyone elses subjectivity to build from.

im not saying that i expect a peaceloving global world. it is naturally unrealistic. but we can achieve that among our selves. surely if a group of friends be it online or otherwise cannot exist together in that way, then we are even more truly fucked.

the media is biased, different papers/tv channels give different views on same events, often neither view will be correct. but we as individuals are not in a position either to gain the real and true facts by ourselves. we are powerless. we just have to be aware the information we are spoonfed may not be the truth/is not the truth, depending on your way of thinking. but arguing and getting angry does not solve anything. its like if somebody shouts at you, youre much less likely to listen and much more likely to get riled, than if you are having a sensible discussion in which both parties listen to each other and actually hear what the other person is saying.
