When I was in school I wrote a story for a competition, it was about a kid who got bullied around at school by this kid and his parents told him to stand up to the kid and he would leave him alone, so the boy did and he got beaten so bad that he had to be hospitalized and his younger brother got his dad's gun and shot the kid in the halls of his school to avenge his brother. THe story won for my school, the region, the state, and went to the national competion where it lost. But what kid could have read it and somewhere in his mind it triggered something, because a few years after that all the school shootings started happening and it freaks me out, because I sorta think that I inadvernetly started something. What do you think, could I have caused it all?
It would be extremly unlikely, if not impossible, but even if your story caused the shootings, it wouldn't have been your fault at all. The kid who read your story must have had a fucked up in the head to not distinguish between reality and fiction.
Yeah I guess, it just freaks me out though, the space of time that they both occured in is just a coniencidence(sic), I guess.
Yep, you and Marilyn Manson are the most evil people alive. Go and kill yourselves, do us all a favour.... ....PUR-fucking-LEASE!!!!!
Ideas don't cause school shootings. Daily humiliation and rejection does. Nobody is driven to hurt anyone because of a song or video game or movie. It's the emotions dumped on them by other people, eventually those emotions are either turned against the self (suicide) or they explode outward. A good reason to show kindness even to people who are mean, you could give them the one last bit of angry energy that tips them over the edge, or save them by giving them faith in humanity again.
What do you know dude? It was Stringmans story that did it. Hey Stringman, write a stroy about me taking over a large country please.
