My tattoo (got it June 28th/o5)

Hey guys,
I just got this tattoo for my b-day. Wanted one since i was 12 and now i finally got one!! Its still kina sore but its healing really awesome!!

thats cool. i like the wings. i'm just not too keen on havign names tattooed though. but thats my personal opinion...so yea. still, i think it looks good.

 

I really like the white accents in the wings - very well done.

 

weird... names... i hope matty is a brother or cousin or something non romantic like that.. or that you are engaged or something..

yeah, very nice, clean lines, sweet tat! - don't sweat the name issue, they're light & scroll-y lookin so you could cover em if need be - hopefully not

my hubby has my name tattooed on his chest, preceded by "property of" - and proudly shows it to whoever will look - lol!! even though he bitches about tattooing significant other's names on people. go figure. kids names he has no problem with, but he would rather do a symbolic devotion tattoo instead of names and tries to talk people out of it, or he goes with some fine lining like Deneige's.

Seriously though,I'm not trying to be a bitch...but you didn't obviously think that one through very well.

However,in your defense: When you give a bit of your heart to someone...you give a part of yourself. He now has his mark on a bit of your skin. You can never get that bit of your heart back after you two break up..just like you can never get that bit of your skin back. Sure,you could cover it up, but it will never be yours again. In a way,it's like love. You can cover up the hole ripped in your heart...but it's never actually fixed...

an ex of mine wanted to get my name tattooed on him and i didn't like the idea at all (and now we're no longer together, so it really wasn't a good idea obviously) and i've also known others who have gotten nameson them and things didn't work out.. but yeah, names can always be covered up, tattoos do fade over time, and if you guys do stay together forever then you don't even have to worry about any of that
