Cynical ol' me and my heart of stone could not quite stop myself from shedding a few tears..yeah it was a bit manipulative..but so what.
I was too busy laughing my ass off at the prententious MTV-people's comments. I didn't know people could be so idiotic. For example: * "Wow this is the greatest thing ever! I can't believe I got to be a part of it!" * "Wow you guys in the crowd are heroes for standing out here in the sun! It's like so hot! Wow!" * "Wow there are like so many like people here!" * "Wow I can't believe I'm a part of this can you? It's amazing!" * "There are like all those starving kids in Africa this is the greatest thing ever!" * "Wow very THREE SECONDS a child dies in Africa I so can't believe it I'm full of disbelief!" --"Yeah that's really an incredible story, I've never heard anything like it I'm so happy to be here wow wow wow wow Live 8 is the greatest thing ever" * "We're making history here man this is the greatest thing ever!" * "Wow I can't believe this is happening all over the world this is the greatest thing ever!" ...it became sickening very quickly. But in order to see Pink Floyd, I had to tough it out. The sacrifices we make.
Why? They never did anything to you. And don't respond by pointing at Germany or the former Soviet Union. That's a load of bull, neither of those countries, nor any of their associates, were truly communist. In fact, the "communist" Soviet Union had MORE in common with democracy than it had in common with communism; for example, it still had a classed society, but communism has no classes. Communism has never been actually implemented in any worthwhile way, it's only been imitated by morons.
Don't tell me what to do..! and not, they did nothing to ME, but those fuckers did a lot to my family.. my grand grand father was arrested, my grand father was arrested.. just because they didn't agree with that fuckin' communist regime.. My daddy couldn't go study university, because my grandpa and grand grand father were AGAINST communists.. my aunt couldn't study university.. the family of my dad was moved to 200km far village just because they had much large farm, so communist stole them that farm and simply moved them to another village, where they knew nobody and had nothing - only one old house, everybody one bed and one wardrobe for 2 people.. After this all, do you think I have nothing to hate communists..?
