I have a VERY wierd phobia...

Ok I cringe whenever I say this.. so please be gentle with me...

I have a phobia of pipes.. plumbing pipes.. the rubber bendy ones e.g the ones behind washing machines to be exact...

It's been with me since childhood and has lead to many problems whenever I need to be in the bathroom.. panic attacks and the like..

Does anyone else have this particular phobia.. or am i alone in this one???

That just crazy, I have a phobia of Cybermen!!!

They have pipes i guess, on their heads

 

Why are you scared of pipes? I mean, there not dangerous or anything?

 

they are if used as a weapon, or made into a pipe bomb.

 

That's an interesting phobia. I don't have one like it, but I definately have a hardcore phobia to hypodermic needles, and a much lesser demiphobia of heights.

 

For more weird ones, my ex hada full on phobia of bananas, if you even went near her with one she'd start shaking at the very least

 

i think it stems from the fact that my grandpa used to hoover me as a joke when i was younger... and i used to think that i'd get sucked up the pipe.... i guess i now associate any kinda pipe with gettin' sucked up... uncontrollable panic ensues and i semi-pass out

i might have zemmiphobia if i ever saw one big enpouph ( zemmiphobia is fear of the great mole rat)

 

When I was a kid, I was afraid of Mr. Glitch.

 

I don't fear heights, I fear falling from them.

 

I fear ticks and leeches both severly. I compulsivly check for ticks if I have been outdoors much that day. I think it has something to do with a leech filled book i read as a kid.

 

Fear of pipes is a pretty scary phobia.
especially when your laying in bed and you hear like the pipes rattle or somthiong like that, but i dont have he phobia, but there still scary.
I kinda have a fear of, i know this might sound crazy but of having a normal life, ie Being married with 2 kids kinda thing and living a normal job.
I dont wanna be like that, really I just want to be an artist on the road trying to survive sorta thing.
But my dad is like a very successful man and always trys to push me into like a buisness job, ie selling loans, or selling houses somthing like that.
I tried to tell him last night how I never want a job where i have to wear a suit. I wanna travel round in my car place to place.
So he said he is selling my car(cause he brought half of it), so I will have no car and in about 3 months I could go for my full license.
He also gave me a talk on getting a Job, because of my grades(which i have tried hard, but i am not a smart person in maths and some other subjects). He always yells at me to get my hair cut, but i refuse.
Umm sorry that rolled out into a story, I had to let it out.

hey, don't worry about turnin' out a lil' story there, this is why i bought up the topic of my phobia coz i wanted people to share their tales and relate in a way which brings a greater understanding on the subject..
