_My tattoo artist doesn't tattoo a person if he/she is drunk. I think his policy makes a lot of sense.
I'd always wanted a tatoo anyway. Then I split up with my ex-boyfriend and got it because I wanted to be a different person from the one that was with him. It helped with the whole rebuilding myself process.
yeah, a lot of true artists (as opposed to scratchers) have some very strict rules they impose on themselves. that's one reason the industry hasn't been so regulated, tattooists are traditionally a self-regulating group. now though, i think that will change because anyone can pretty much learn to tattoo by paying thier way through an apprenticeship - used to be only the chosen were able to apprentice. i wonder how that's going to affect the tattoo artist community in ten years or so... hmmm, maybe i could apply for a government grant to make a study - lol!!! you're lucky to have a guy who cares about his clientele and not just cash
Most tatooists / piercists in this country won't have you as a customer if you're drunk or on drugs. It's pretty dangerous if they did anyways.
the main reason u cant be pierced or tattooed while drunk or on drugs is becng out or having multiple grand mall seizures
I got my tattoo as a birthday present. I didn't sneak and get it or anything like that, actually my parents took me to get it. I wanted something to distinguish me from the people I was in school with everyday. I like to be different, and a tattoo allowed me to do so. It's amazing how a purple and yellow flower on my lower back can make me feel so special. Tattoos are great.
I have 5 and I would keep getting more if I had the money. I never really needed a reason to get them. I was bored so i went and got them
I have a tattto on my right feed since i am 16.I have done it because my boyfriend went away....its a sun,but it also could be a flower or a fire ir a star...thats cool, many feelings and meanings can be put in the tattoo.
