I've been robbed

I sold some stuff on ebay last week for £200 and tranfered the money into my bank account from my PayPal account. I checked my balance a few days ago and saw that the £200 was in my account. Tonight I tried to buy stuff for £9 with my card at my local shop and it declined WTF???

I went to the cash point and saw that I was £50 over my overdraft limit. I can't even draw over my limit I haven't withdrawn any money since I transfered my money to my bank account via PayPal either. It wouldn't even let me print a bank statement so I don't know wtf is going on. Coincidently I purshased something for the first time on ebay and had to punch in my card number because I didn't have sufficient funds in my PayPal account. I won a bid for £20 (on ebayUS) and was emailed an invoice stated that I've only paid the $40.

Have I been scammed? I'm gonna kill somebody for real.....

Have you contacted you bank to see where the money has gone? they should have records.

 

I'm going to do that tomorrow because it was 11.30pm when my card declined.

I hate them too. I've been fucked up the ass on my first winning bid. Someome will pay... law is law. I'm gona get my fucking lawyer on this.

 

Mother fuck Thats the last time I give out my bank details online. I was so anti doing that in the first place and then this happens on my first try? Heads will roll.

My bank has some explaining to do tomorrow. The money was in MY account and it was taken out without my consent so they will be the first to answer for it. It just pisses me off when you fly straight and still get f**ked.

 

Never, ever give your checking account info online. There are hackers everywhere that can get a hold of that kind of information. I don't care how safe they claim it is, I'd try to avoid it.

Thats what gets me. If PayPal tell you that their site is secure and these things happen then their breaking the law.

I just use my credit card... which isn't as safe but at least the companies are usually decent when you get fradulent charges, they can stop access to the account right away. I am a little worried though.... I bought something a couple days ago on ebay, it was supposed to ship out today but the website doesn't have any record of the tracking number :S

 

I have a question... When did the money get in your accound? sometimes the bank will say that the moneys there but it can take up to a week for the money to clear and be useable.. Hopefully its something stupid like that

 

I thought of that too. The thing is I checked my balance at the cash point and drew out the £200. I then remembered that I had to pay bills and went into my bank and put half the money back in so I could pay bills over the phone (to make life easier). One day later and i find out that my entire balance has magically disappeared! I don't have any direct debts so nothing should leave my account PayPal sucks.

 

was it a mastercard? someone hacked into their account numbers, so it may not even be paypal related.
