Ok, I've been reading alot of the word "fag" on these forums recently. This disturbs me. I realize that this is a free speech forum, but I really don't think that we should be using this word, especially as casually as some people do. "Fag," as you know, is short for the word "faggot," whose dictionary definition is a bundle of sticks. In the Middle Ages, people thought to be homosexual would be burned to death tied to a pile of sticks, or faggots. As you can see, "faggot" is not merely a casual insult, it is a work full of extreme hatred and prejudice towards gay people. I would say it is just as bad as calling a black person a ******. Please do not use the word fag. Maybe you don't like gay people, but I know alot of gay people who are very, very nice people and completely genuine, pure human beings. And I take great offense when people insult my friends like that. I'm sure also that there are people on this forum who are homosexual or GLBTQ, and I'm sure that they take great offense at this word too. Try to express your feelings in a different way, so that the insults you give are only hurtful to the indeviduals recieving them, and not to our forums as a whole or a portion of our forum community that are merely witnessing your posts. Smoking a fag kind of sounds offensive, though... haha... it sounds like some kind of sexual term. I love teh homosexual people... I've never met any who were really mean before.
Wow... I didn't know "fag" had to do with that. The problem is, being around just anyone embeds the word into people's brains. It's like swearing, except no one realizes it's bad. Repense, fag-sayers, REPENSE!

i refer to my smilies as "faggy" but i support gay rights. i dunno. i used to be against saying "retard" to make fun of a friend acting stupidly i dont usually use the word fag though
i say fag, and i call people fag. i don't see whats the big deal when people know i dont have anything wrong against gay people, i have gay friends that say fag. _edit_ and its not like i say it in a hateful way either.
