I'm bloody glad that ENG-A-LAND won... beautiful 4-2... Bring on Portugal... that should be an interesting match-up. I hope that Holland wins today, I want to see them go further.

 

England (away strip ) were excellent against the not-so-bad Croatia. Definitely their best performance of the tournament. Before that game I hadn't fancied England's chances at all. But Portugal are looking tasty, as are Holland and the Czech Rep! Might fancy an outside bet on the Czechs...

 

What a dramatic end to group C!

Quarter finals are almost all lined up:
Portugal v England
France v Greece
Sweden v ??
Czech Rep v Denmark

I reckon the Czechs will put the Germans out, and Holland will beat Latvia to come second in their group and face Sweden in the quarter finals!

I agree with your prediction. Holland should qualify.

After that, I say... England, France Holland and the Czech Win.

 

Problem is that the Czechs do not need to beat the Germans, because they already qualified and therefore bring their worst team in the field.
I fear for the Netherlands.
Well done Sweden and Denmark, you could not have done better kicking Italia out of the championship with a 2-2 draw.


My prediction for the quarter finals:

Portugal v England
France v Greece
Sweden v Germany / Netherlands
Czechia v Denmark

 

Felt a bit sorry for Italy though! They got their winning goal in stoppage time and for a few seconds thought they had qualified! Their poor little faces when they learnt they were out were terrible!

 

I'm sorry but YUHUUUUU!!! As I predicted to Wolf, a good draw between Denmark and Sweden kicked Italy out of the championship, well, ok, Spain is also out, but now we can feel a little less sorry cause Italy is also out, hehehehe.
Congratulations for the rest who won.
Now Portugal has to kick England out.
Portugal will win the Championship.

Wonderful asswoopin by Holland... 3-0 with nice domination. The Germans on the other hand, completely depanding on Ballack, couldn't win a Czech bench squad... now that's a shitter for them.


Go Eng-a-land against Portugal tomorrow!

 

I hope it is going to be Portugooooaaaaal tomorrow, but I am affraid it is going to be a Rooney one-man-show.

 

Sweden - Denmark 2-2. Beautiful.
Ofcourse it would have been great to win the group, since then we should meet Holland instead of the dangerous team of Czech Republic. (ofcourse both Denmark and Sweden was going for victory, for not meeting Czech Republic.)
We lost (lost the victory for meeting #2 = Holland) and we'll meet the poisonous team from Checkoslovakia (or how the hell it's spelled!), and the Swedes are to meet Holland.
On the other hand I'm glad that we're in the quarter-final with Sweden instead of Italy. So Czech-warriors: Just come on, try to beat us!

I would have prefered Denmark over Sweden, but I guess it we are lucky to even be at the quarter finals so I will not complain.
And for the Czechs, they where kind of lucky in all three matches coming back from being behind.
They have many goals against them, so if you keep attacking them and use your own strenght you will be able to beat them.
If you go into defence they are lethal.

Looking forward to tonights match; Portugal - England.
It has everything to become a great match and the winner will play in the half finals against the Netherlands.
