I did this painting of a picture I saw on the net and I was wondering is that wrong not that it matters that much.... I am poor ...I saw something I liked I couldn't afford to buy it.... so I painted on of my own......:H its not nearly as good as the origonal artist did but here is mine I have done other stuff too the first was a picture in a Sears Catolog....shease....I am retarded I feel like....OMGoodness so freakin genaric...what do you think? oh & its not finished ...they never are
thank you Ash that means alot and,Ocean Byrd,& dmgreen thank you... yes it is nice and I must find the artist...... so we all can enjoy the origonal I would never take credit for someone elses art...hense the thread..... StonerBill....... I do...do my own art but when I see something that I really like I figure I might as well give it a try and I think it is helping me to figure out some other types of styles that are fun I am an unedgucated artist so I try to find insparation every where..... has any one else done this....? hmmmmm?????
until the mid 1800s when art was considered more a "craft", it was a normal process of studying art, to sketch and paint after existing works. So what you are doing is not wrong.
the grain looks way cooler in the 2nd one, although i like the deeper red in the 1st Is u using oils? I wanna get a oil set of my own.... and no i dont think its wrong to make a copy, as long as u arent planning on breaking into a museum and replacing the original with urs and selling it... BTW... whats the theme or scene or plot of the painting? or does it even have one
hmmm...not sure about the name but this artist has a few like this an angel and a few more bird poses I did mine with acrilcs...I am poor girl but it was major fun and I am giving it to a good friend
ya know what if both were sitting there for sale at the same price and i were going to buy one...i would buy yours. Very well done
I prefer your copy. And, you COULD sell it as a bootleg, but the artists could get angry. And it is possible for them to take you to court. But, I don't think that is your intention, is it?
nope actually..not so suprising I have never sold a painting this one goes to a friend... thanks for saying I could fetch a nice price tho I would never want to take away from someone else's art
Look at the nature of art. Artists in their nature are all plagiaristic. In reality works of art have come from some inspiration or another. While one may borrow an idea, the finished concept becomes its own work. There is a big difference between using someone else’s work as an inspiration and calling someone else’s work your own. Artists get better at what they do by copying other works and discovering their own strengths.
