Smoking pot for as long as I have (37 years), I've smoked pot from all over the world. South America, Central America, U.S. of A., Canada, The Indies, Africa, Afganistan & the middle east, Australia, Europe, India, Tibet and prob. a few other places. But I've also smoked pot grown on a continent that prob. less than 100 people have ever tried: pot grown in Antartica. My best friends' g/f's brother is a photographer, and he had an assignment to work at McMurdo Station. McMurdo Station gets its energy from an on-site nuclear reactor, so elec. is no prob. Since they are cut off from the rest of the world for 6 months at a time, they have a HUGE hydro growroom, mainly for fresh fruits and veggies during the long winters. And there always seemed to be a little space left over for marijuana. McMurdo Station is populated mainly by scientists, meteorologists & ass't gov't drones--all people who like to get high. The photog was told that there has been pot growing at McMurdo since the 70's, at least, and over the years the plants have interbred and are now their own strain. Anyhoo the guy brought back a nugg that he shared. Nuclear grown pot. It was pretty good. Nothing special except I glowed in the dark for weeks after that. Not really, but the rest of the story is true.
WHOA!!!!! what a coool story. i wanna do that! so wen they jus wait in antartica, they jus grow weed and smoke it all? wow. and scientists and govt people get all stoned, and yet its iilegal? ugh wut the fuck! p.s - how did u get a chance 2 visit ALL those places? cuz like my main goal in life i want to travel ze world....but im afriad im too poor 2 affford plane tickets and hotels and food.
You don't need much money to trave. Not sure about trans-oceanic, but on the continent (the Americas, in my case) you can walk, ride a bike, hitchhike, or, maybe, get a cheap motorcycle (still need gas and probably will need to know some maintenance). You don't stay in hotels, you stay in hostels, or camp out. Sometimes people will offer you a place to stay and food, from what I hear. You can probably figure out cheap ways of overseas travel too, but I've never looked into it so I'm not sure. In the end, it really depends on how high a living you want to maintain in your travels. Will you be a typical American tourist, with tons of money, buying junk, eating in nice restaraunts and sleeping in hotels, or will you do something more cost efficient? I'd opt for the latter.
DejaVoo: I WSH I had traveled to all those places! But except for Mex. Canada and the Caribbean, I've spent my entire life in the U.S. Weed (and hash) comes into the states from all over the world.
Don't be silly, you're a girl you don't need money to do anything. Learn how to hustle now and put it to good use while you're young lol.
