Anyone know anything about Sacred Geometry? Discuss it. All I know is its been known by a few, hidden to all, and now some of it is available to us all and no one cares. Thoth created the real world matrix, with a language and Geometry.

I have a book book titled: Sacred Geometry, Philosophy and Practice, Robert Lawlor.

It's a large format book with illustrations and "workbooks" for use with a compass and straight edge on The square cut by its diagonal, sq root of 2; sq root of 3 and the Vesica Piscis; sq root of 5; Alteration; the Golden Section; Gnomonic spirals; Sqaureing the Circle; Geometry and Music; and The Platonic Solids.

Unity is represented by the circle.
    The manifest by the square.

Give a value of 1 to the circle's diameter and a value of 1 to the side of the square.
The diagonal of the square will always be an irrational number, it will have an infinite number of decimal places. In this case 1.4142...This is called the square root of 2.

The circumference of the circle will be irrational also, 3.14159...or pi.

We can never mathematically know the exact diameter of the circumference or length of the diagonal. However, as a formal realationship we can geometrically know diagonal to side or circumference to diameter as an invariable function.

Sacred geometry deals with the functions (among others):
The square cut by its diagonal = the sq root of 2, the relationship of the diagonal of that square to the side of another square derived from that diagonal of the first square. The vesica piscis, or the intermediate realm of two cirles drawn upon each other's circumferance, as derived from the sq. root of 2. The sq. root of 3 and the polygons developed from the vesica piscis, and the sq. root of 5 from the diameters of the circles conpriseing the vesica pisces.

Does anyone know if changing the number system, from say a base 10 to a base 8 system or whatever, helps to deal with the irrational numbers in the circle diagram? I've heard it mentioned before, but don't know the math invloved, just interested. If you know, let me know.
