Okay, I'm sure most would agree that any high can be improved with great music. Now, we have some typical stoner music out there and some classic stoner music. (Pink Floyd naturally comes to mind.) Yes yes yes, we know all those. What I'm asking is, is there any music out there that you would not consider to be "stoner" music yet when you listened to it while stoned it did something for you. I'd like to look into some new music so post some songs that maybe not everyone's heard of. Here's mine: "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" by The Cure. I downloaded this song by accident, and happened to burn it onto a CD. I was sitting there stoned and I heard it come on and all of a sudden the world changed. The song is just so good. I ended up painting a bunch of pictures while listening to it on repeat play until I came down. It was awesome. So, you got any?
now, im probably your typical stoner (floyd of course!) but there are some good old school raps out there with pretty groovin beats. and i can definetly dance to drum and base, gets ya feelin right
some of my favs while high are Sound Tribe Sector 9, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk. then there are the typical stoner musicians: Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Bob Marley.
well , i mostly like 2 listen 2 '60s songs cuz it 'sends me back in time' haha. acutaly if i listen to any muysic it does that...sometimes i dig listenin 2 frank sinatra wen im stoned, or like, the misfits, and like 80's new wave haha. i mean i listen to those already but its jus kinda fun 2 listen to 'different' kinds of music wen im stoned.
Strange... When I looked back over the older posts, there seemed to be a wide variety of "typical" stoner music listed, but no one seemed to have asked for stuff that's not considered stoner music. As my intial post stated, I was looking to get people talking about some different music in an attempt to discover newer things. Sorry to sound like a bitch, but please actually read the threads before replying to them. It'll save you from sounding like an ass next time.
haha whoa whoa there guys....love is the answer haha but whatever who cares if people post questions over again...i wud be too lazy 2 go searching thru all the posts. and i dont mind answering the same questions again..but actualy i never answered a question like bella_donnas before, because its not just asking what do u USUALY listen to wen yer stoned...but what OTHER music that is not typical that u listen 2 besides the regular stuff. haha know what i mean? so yah who cares

I like to listen to A Perfect Circle's eMOTIVE CD when I'm stoned, and pretty much anything by Tool...
dub is some of the only shit i listen to while high. Reggae alone is good because of the happy vibes, but the delay and reverb of dub make it amazing. I reccomend king tubby, augustus pablo, sly and robbie, and dub specialist. Those are the guys that highten my buzz most.
