As more time passes, I think Korn will be viewed as one of the most important bands of the later 20th/early 21st centuries. They are at least as influential as Nirvana. Almost every heavy band you hear on modern rock stations owes a lot to Korn. I don't think they're the greatest band on the planet, and they weren't the first to do a lot of the things they do, but they made it popular. Every time I turn on the radio I hear stuff that makes me think, "Korn did that years ago." They changed the look of modern rock. They changed its sound. They made it OK to have a heavy sound with vulnerable lyrics. Davis is practically the polar opposite of cock-diesel metal frontmen like Anselmo or Hetfield. Korn might be getting repetitive. You might not like their style. You might think they suck. But they changed popular music in a major way.
dude you are so right in many ways, korn did change the style and ways of modern rock no matter how much you hate them they are still a great band, i mean so many people neevr give them a chance they are all like 'oh my friends says their gay, so i think they are gay to' no one gets to buy an album before someone goes up them and says 'dont buy their albums they are really crappy band' thank you for making a ggod point on the last reply from this one!
