Moses Kayiza is a gay asylum seeker who fled Uganda in May 2004 and managed to find his way to the UK.

According to the law, religion and culture in Uganda, homosexuality is strongly criminalised.

If Moses is deported by the UK government, he is likely to face life imprisonment (20 years), torture, or worse.

Why? Simply because he is gay.

Please spare one minute and sign our petition to stop this madness. Please sign out petition now. http://www.mosesmuststay.org.uk/sign_the_petition.php

A bit misleading that subject line, isn't it?

Begs the question though, does that mean that all gay asylum from Uganda should get priority over all the straight ones?

It is just so sad that people still treat homesexuality so horribly. Thanks for that link, i really hope that people read further and do more for gay rights.

i think we need to think more about why asylum seekers can't stay in this country, rather than their sexuality...

Ok fair enough, this guy is in a harsh situation, but if we sign every petition like this that comes our way surely we are just stitching ourselves over. The number of Immigrants that come into our country has risen dramatically because of the labour government and at the moment immigration is actually a problem. Especially because we have over 500,000 ILLEGAL immigrants in this country already. I mean, what are we supposed to do, help everyone out and then completely fuck over ourselves? It's a catch22 situation, me feels.
