I dont want to get into a drawn out argument over this, but to whoever would get real worked up about this: you know what they meant. People get too worked up over possible interpretations these days that its nearly impossible to say something that would not "offend" someone. So the news anchor did not use the word homosexual in the exact proper context. I dont think anyone was permanently scarred and needs to hire the ACLU to sue tom brokaw. everyone knows perfectly well what they meant.
I didn't really understand what was so offensive about that. They were saying that the acts were homosexual, as in gay, as in what they were doing was something a homosexual would do. Sure, it was rape and that's not something that is homosexual, but the acts that happened during the raping were homosexual. I dunno, I'm sort of tounge tied now, it just doesn't seem that wrong to me. How else were they suppose to word it? How politically correct can you get?
