I just did a look see to see what new poems have been posted and not one ryming one was there. is this some kind of new fad? if so i hope it dosnt catch on too much or we may never see a great poet like Poe, browning, shakespear, errr ,hell nearly every notable poet in the history of literature. come on people dont fall for the propaganda of few critics

I like to rhyme when I can. I posted a sonnet not too long ago ("untitled sonnet" was the tread title). I, like you, would love to see more rhyming poems, the problem is, most of them suck. To be able to rhyme artfully is difficult, and I'm not saying I'm an expert by any means, either.

Plus, sometimes, the poem just comes out non-rhyming, and if that's how it comes to me, that's how it is. Sometimes, I'll free-write then go back and work on putting it into a form, which is fun because to do it well takes time and creativity, but most of the time I don't.
