whats the best song to just chill with while your rolling? (doesn't have to be a chill song, I'm just trying to avoid trance stuff) personally, Bowie's "Space Oddity" is always unbelievable when I'm rolling. the spots where the song picks up are almost too good.
i personally like....anything shit i didnt like before sounds so amazing when i roll..but i do have my preferences. im just not picky like i normally am.
i definetely agree with scholar warrior. but sometimes theres a particular part of a particular song that when you hear it while rolling, it actually kicks up your roll, and penetrates your soul for a minute or two. Then you hear it later and wish you had a pill in your hand.
heres a couple of my favorites heres to you - oar stillborn (acoustic) - zakk wylde the man who sold the world - david bowie and yeah, i know what you mean about it kicking up your roll. this past saturday when i rolled the music sounded so good it was giving me head rushes.
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Crystal Method - Community Service 1 and 2 if you want that electronica flow while your rollin without the mellow trancey shit.
Any Drum N Bass, Jungle, Goatrance, Psytrance, or electroclash is awesome on rolls. I guess that's why raves are the most fun places in the world. But also Brothers Past, The Disco Biscuits, Phish, and lots of other jamtronica and jambands are awesome when your rolling.
Anything of Radiohead Kid A is great, I rolled my first time a few weeks ago and had the time of my life, half at a party and half just sittin on the computer.
DJ Tiesto - Adagio for Strings That blew me away last night, listened to it sober today and it still sounded great.
Anything from the Beatles is fantastic when ur not not on drugs, and even better when u are. If u listen to some of there CD's (Sgt. Pepper's in particular), u notice that the beat just flows along so nicely, and the melody is just so beautiful.
If you are talking bout the same one I am then OMG YES! that song is amazing. Never listened to it rolling but now that I think of it, Imma make a point of listenin to it nxt time. Cuz it would be truely awesome. But I was thinkin William Orbit/Barbers Adagio for Strings. Not tryin to correct ya, Im just wonderin if there is a diff version I aint heard since we got different artists who sang it. Actually, Im about to go check this shit out on Limewire...
Whoahhh...completely different mix but the DJ Tiesto one is soundin pretty good. You should most def check out the William Orbit version nxt time you roll. Or just when ur straight; just listening to the song makes me think of rolling. brings back good memories ahh i love that song.
ummmm dont laff but i stumbled upon some elton john from my dads record colection when i was rollin and it was flippin heavy! my girlfriend likes pink floyd but i prefer that trippin
trance beats are too straight...if u dig the trancey style but want better beats, check out some liquidfunk dnb....high contrast comes to mind....or some darker trancey dnb...the upbeats and black sun empire fuckin rule my existence....trust me....get the upbeats-view from the inside....its the shit....if ur into drum and bass, check out dnb-sets.de its a mixes search engine....the best mix i have today is Glock-nu wave mix 5....it has that upbeats track and so much other good shit onnit
I LOVE DnB while rolling. (and when not rolling) Especially british DnB cuz it reminds me of raves I went to back in England. If any of ya havnt rolled to a bit of DnB, i def recommend it!
kif i'm no homophobe but i was expecting you to say a techno band. But i don't blame you man crystal method is sooo awesome. I like the songs name of the game, over the line, born too slow, and american way. I've liked TCM ever since was in 9th grade and that was 5 years ago. But to answer the question, i would say the song "Ray of Light", both the original and the QAF (queer as folk soundtrack) remix of it by Madonna. the music video is the one where everything is in super fast motion except for madonna singing. but that song came out 8 years ago but it still kicks ass when on E.
Sound Tribe Sector 9- definetly check them out, just great jamtronica/jamband they just have some of the sickest beats and theyre even more amazing LIVE download they're stuff , not only great music but great people behind the band l They're actually the band in my signature below \/
