Im really getting into them they are great! What album should i buy cause ive heard a couple of their songs and just wondering which one you guys think is good to buy hhaha lol peace chickens
Their most famous album is Surrealistic Pillow. It took hearing it a couple of times to grow on me, but it's good.
2400 Fulton Street is a great introduction. If you like that I recommend Surrealistic Pillow, Bless It's Pointed Little Head, and if you can find a copy Live at The Monterey Pop Festival.
After bathing at Baxter's is my favourite. well some told me its just good music to trip to otherwise is crap. but i like it anyway trippy or not.
jefferson airplane...brings memories...me and my mom are always dancing on there songs...grand!! peace!
Everything from "Takes Off" (which is their first album, before Grace Slick joined) to "Volunteers". Plus Paul Kantner & Grace Slick's "Blows Against The Empire" is a very Airplanish-Album, The compilations 2400 Fulton Street, Jefferson Airplane Loves You, and there is a CD out containing their entire set from Monterey.
Stay from anything having to do with Jefferson Starship or Starship!!!!!!!! "We Built This City" will ruin your taste in Jefferson Airplane!!!!!!!!
'surrealistic pillow' was my introduction to jefferson airplane, and it's still my favourite album of them. It's also generally regarded as their best album, and it has their two biggest hits: 'somebody to love' and 'white rabbit'.
I have Surrealistic Pillow, my favorite one has to either be that or Volunteers. Volunteers is kind of their most eclectic album, and more direct and politically outspoken than earlier.
im definately going out and getting one there cd's tomorrow....thanx for all the advice....(and i didnt even ask for it) peace and love adam
after bathing at baxters, especially the tracks schizoforest love suite and saturday afternoon/won't you try. peace and love Zenry
The first concert I ever saw was Jefferson Starship with Ronnie Montrose opening for them!! Wow! Memories!!
amen; grace slick is pretty hot but not in that damned we built this city video. they should have stoped before the 80's corrupted them. but still a great band i bought surrealistic pillow and its great I highly recomend it and interesting thing on the back of the album it says "jerry garcia musical and spiritual adviser" I'd like to know the story behind that one if anybody knows.
