Tell her to call the police and they will put out an Amber Alert. Call this boys mom, everyone he knows. Did he live with her? If he does, then it will be hard to get the police involved. If not, then it should be no problem. She can't just sit there! If it were my kids, I would do everything I could to find them.

By your word structure, I'm guessing you are not American, so an Amber alert won't be possible (its a regional/national alert system here)
Get the baby back and have her press charges and MOVE.
She needs to get papers drawn up giving her SOLE custody (even if they stay together. he could do this again...and probably will) and outlinging his visitation rights and support requiremants if they split.

Attention pregnant moms; do this NOW, married or not. A custody plan will help in the case of a break up and you are not panicking about this right now.

    PLEASE listen to druminmama!

Call the authorities. Call the police immediately. This isn't something to mess around with, or something to "wait out."

I hope everything is OK. She needs to get away from this man, who is obviously unbalanced. It isn't good for her or the baby to stay with him.

Prayers and thoughts and candles for this baby, people! If you can.

I thoroughly agree that your friend needs to call the cops.

What YOU can do is prepare a room for your friend and her baby. When she gets the baby back, she will need a place to sleep after moving out of the place her boyfriend calls home.

I also have to agree with drumminmama and Maggie. Actually I'm surprised the police will do anything at all. Without an order of custody, the father has just as much right to the child as the mother does. Especially if you are not married, you need an order of custody. If you are married you probably won't be able to get one without a legal separation. But please protect your children.

I hope this guy brings the baby home soon and then your friend gets out of there.

I am just hoping that baby is safe also he should be charged for negligance and reckless endangerment at least that is how I would write it up here in canada also there may be other charges that could cross apply but I assure you that any police agency around the world take more time and manpower to look for a missing child than possible runaway of teen or adult not that we do not look hard for them also but children cases hit harder to any law enforcement agent because most have kids of their own and these cases hit close to home

Get four really large scary friends.

Find the guy and then have the large scary friends stomp him into very tiny pieces.
