This is my first thread on hip forums, although i have been a lurker for a long time and my fiance has been part of the community for quite a long time... (atom bomb therapy, look her up... beautiful girl). Anyway we have been thinking of hitting the road for a long time, but I would like to go on more of a journey, or quest to try to find some deeper meaning in our spiritually lost land of the free... I have been studying animistic religions from around the world and for some reason my modern and distracted mind has found not only a connection with the world's most eccentric and archaic spiritual systems, but also a dire need for it... a need to obtain the knowledge and understanding that lies deep within us all... a need to connect with the natural consciousness lying all around us... a consciousness that I feel I have had a hand in destroying by being part of a capitalistic and imperialistic society. So I would like for all of you to help me in this journey... I would like to know what parts of this continent hosts psychoactive plants and other miracles of nature like warm springs, gargantuan flower fields, waterfalls, lesser known mountains and anything else that we have yet to destroy... so if anyone knows of any native psychotropic plants or other natural events in your area, please let me know... and if i figure out something about any of those cosmic questions I will fill you in... oh and if anyone wants to come along let me know... its gonna be an interesting trip. Everyone has a secret truth, just give them time to tell you...
Well it sounds like you're from Georgia so I'm not sure if you'd be coming all the way up to Canada, but I'm pretty sure British Columbia, Canada has all of that. For hot springs, BC has many, but here is one: Then there is Bridal Veils Waterfall which (if you go close to it, a sign says there's a fine if you do.. but people do anyway) looks like this: And there's also Cariboo Falls in secluded Bowron Lake: http://www.waterfallswest.com/image...rn_lk/photogal/images/bowron_lk_gal_r1_c3.jpg Wapta falls: http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/Waterfalls/BC/DawsonL.JPG Ione Falls: http://www.jamesphotography.ca/20040723_ione_falls_001.jpg Of course, all of the waterfalls depend on the month you go in. If it is summer, the waterfalls will be less impressive with less water because it's more dry, in the rainier months, they are booming and full. There is a waterfall behind my own house which has a cave-type thing underneath and you can sit under the fall I believe we have some large flower beds too but I'm not sure of any pictures of them.. a good place for that would definitley be Saskatchewan. Here is a picture of the house in which my family moved into when they first migrated to Canada in the early years of North American European History (my great grandparents' house): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v125/AlwaysInside/grandparentshouse.jpg In Victoria, you can make some extra money by picking daffodils for a local daffodil picking company. Both relaxing and enjoyable. BC has so many mountains that many would be very private. Afterall, we even have the rockies I know of somewhere in the Southern States too that is very spiritual. I think Sedona, Arizona is a very spiritual place but I've never been there. It could just be neo-spiritualists. It's supposed to be a "vortex"-like place where the intensity of powers are at their greatest. http://www.lmphotography.com/framepic/framejpg/cathedralrocks.jpg Well anyway, I'm sorry I couldn't give more info about your area, but I hope it helped if you ever decide to come up to Canada. (It says I've included too many images, so I'll make them links)
