Ok I just posted a minute ago, but this suddenly popped in my head. Nike did some research (heaven forbid) and ound that it's beneficial to run barefoot. SO THEY DESIGN PEOPLE A SHOE FOR RUNNING "BAREFOOT." What's wrong with these people.
If you're wearing a shoe, then how are you barefoot? Or does it just expose some of the sole of your foot?
I think that Nike barefoot shoe is stupid as well. If you want to get the feeling of running barefoot, then by all means save your money, get 'dem shoes n socks off and go barefoot! Remember the Nike slogan, "Just do it"? Well, just go barefoot!!
These clothing companies think that if they give you clothing that simulates the feeling of being barefoot or naked that youll want to wear those clothes and not want to actually go barefoot or naked instead. Its just a ploy so youll buy their clothes and they get money. They probably also think if they give you that alternative then the laws dont need to change so you can go barefoot and naked everywhere. I think everybody should be able to go barefoot and naked anywhere so they can put alot of these big companies out of business or force them to make something practical.
the only people that are going to buy nike's new "barefoot" shoe.. are people that like to wear shoes. i'll be damned if you ever caught me wearing any sweatshop shoes
Actually, I've seen many people wearing them. Theoretically, they will go over quite well in Australasia. Especially in cities, you just have to wear shoes sometimes... Obviously we'd all prefer to be barefoot all the time - but sometimes it's just not the thing to do. These shoes are perhaps the answer to that problem. HOWEVER....the fact that Nike makes them kinda ruins it for me. It'd be like buying hemp anklets from the Gap.
Nike have really shot themselves in the foot with this one. Boogabaah's got it sussed. People who don't like wearing shoes won't feel inclined to spend too much on them. People who love wearing shoes won't see the need for special shoes since they're perfectly happy in ordinary ones. Honestly though I couldn't give a shit whether it was Nike who make them or anyone else. It's still a bollocks campaign.
I've never heard of these..so I looked it up. I guess, some people just don't enjoy being barefoot...yet,they want the benefits of training and competing barefoot. I don't mind either way(excluding the sweatshops). To each thier own.
