They won't stop until the West is completely removed from their region; which of course, will never happen.
I'm sick of it happening, it's happening every week now..it's very tragic and sad..I can't look online or watch tv without someone getting beheaded now..makes me not wanna watch tv or click on anything
What really scares me is what is next. I mean at first they started with car bombs, then they moved to strapping bombs onto themselves, now they are taking hostages and cutting their heads off with saws/knives. What could possibly come next? It just seems like the violence is exponentially becoming much more frequent and worse.
I hope that they don't start doing this in Europe. I am going to be in the Netherlands all of next fall.
i wonder what ethnicity or citizenship it'll be next. they seem to have a different demand for each beheading.
The people are sick. They are the sickest people on earth. Hearing about the killings just pisses me off to no end. Its good to not see people trying to justify them. I HATE seeing our fellow Americans be ruthlessly killed like that. I HATE looking on the front page of the paper and seeing stupid arab cheering because he blew an army car up killing OUR people. We HAVE to support our troops. Regardless of wheter you like the war or not. They cannot take all this on their ownr. Yes the war needs to stop yes but we are in the war now we cannot pull out right now we cannot let them die in vein. Bless our troops, the real freedom fighters.
Sick? No, this is the only way in which they could get thier message to people. I strongly disagree with their ways of performing thier motives, yet, they prove to work. The sickest on earth? Definatly not. I personally do not see the difference b/w a public killing of one person and an occupation resulting in hundreds of deaths... They may use more brutal techniques... yet, it is still, just one death. Stop generalizing "arabs" as terrorists. We do not have to support our troops if they are fighting for a false cause ,as simple as that. "Die in vain" my ass... If one does not put oneself in a situation when one is prone to "dying in vain"...one won't! "Bless our troops"? How does "blessing" come into here at first, and how are the troops "freedom fighters"... Ok, enough of addressing fanatics, I have an opinion to write! The beheading was indeed unjustified, especially because of the nationality... yet, it got the "terrorists" the attention of the global community. They want to deliver a message, and they are turning to extreme, desperate acts inorder to deliver it. They are fanatics of thier trade, terrorism. Yet, people should not put themselves in such a situation where they are prone to being kidnapped. Watch out for yourself Johnny!
West point: "AHHH! I was walking down the street and some people drove by and shot me!" BraveSirRubin: "It's your fault!! You shouldn't be walking down the same street drive by shooters decide to drive down!"
A street is one place, while a country which is currently under invasion... with you (as a US citizen or US reporter or such...since those were addressed) being the "enemy"... it isn't the smartest thing to do. You're not gonna go into the house of the person you just had a fight with.
These people are far from the sickest on earth (although without question far from the healthiest as well). The South American death squads who would behead a whole family, sit them down to dinner and fold their hands neatly over dinner plates with their heads on them (the baby, in this case, wasn' t big enough to do this with, so they had to nail the hands on). Or the Serbians, Bosnians and Croations in Yugoslavia, and the rapes, murders and mutilations that went on there. And then there's Sierra Leone and the Congo... There are FAR FAR FAR worse things to do to somebody than simply beheading them. The sickest of all would, however, have to be those who own and consider using Nuclear weapons...
Almost. They are not quite as sick as the people who invaded their land and killed at least 30,000 of their civilians and that many or more of their troops (no one knows because Tommy Franks, the "General" says "I don't keep statistics of dead Iraqis." Those who sexually abused prisoners who should have been under protection of the Geneva Convention. Those who take prisoners, with NO charge and place them in the Hell Hole of Gitmo Bay, with no clear idea of why they are there, or when they will be released. Ect ect. LOTS of sickness, my friend. Sickness breeds sickness.
I believe that the terrorists are very, very sick people, but definitely not the most sadistic people ever. The Romans were a much more violent culture than the Arabic culture. Also, the reason these killings seem so brutal is that we aren't used to beheadings. During my life the majority of deaths that I have heard of were caused by 1. guns 2. cars 3. planes or 4. knives. Contrary to this, beheading has been one of the most widely used forms of executions throughout the history of the world. I guarantee you that if the death of an American by a public stoning was taped it would be just as shocking. The fact of the matter is, we have become desensitized to certain forms of killing.
I have a hard time thinking of anything that would give more "support" to our troops than bringing them home.
Everybody acts like the murders being committed are justified because the americans are "invading" the country. What do you think would happen if all of the attacks on the coalition forces ended? Don't you think the coalition would do the best they can in helping rebuilding and then hand over power to a country that could safely accept it?
