you sure are "a peace lovin' creature". directing sarcastic comments and petty insults towards people whom did absolutely no harm to you is a great way to promote peace

once again, youre caught with your pants down and your head up your ass

Good luck with that, you fucking moron. Haven't you learned by now that each time you post, I come back with a reply? Your mom isn't very smart.

oh really? can you validate this statement? give me one logical, non-opinionated example of anything I have said and/or done that exemplifies idiocy

    Idiocy
    1. Extreme folly or stupidity.
    2. A foolish or stupid utterance or deed.
    3. Psychology. The state or condition of being an idiot; profound mental retardation.

You feel a need to defend yourself against such opinions. Therefore my opinion of you is.......

Well, you fill in the blank.

does the attempt of justifying an opinion not take into esteem the exact same attitude as one possesses in defending their opinion? are defense and justification not synonymous under these circumstances?

you can speak poorly of others, but can you admit hypocrisy upon yourself?

Psychology. The state or condition of being an idiot; profound mental retardation

This one is the best choice.

    Quibble

    1. To evade the truth or importance of an issue by raising trivial distinctions and objections.
    2. To find fault or criticize for petty reasons; cavil.

    Jerry Garcia
    Keller Williams
    Brian May (awsome signature sound)
Elliott Smith (his finger-picking is amazing, in my opinion)
Eddie Hazel of Funkadelic (my god, "maggot brain" makes me speachless)

I really shouldn't step into other people's shit...but Viking is pissing me off. Dude. Don't use dictionary definitions. It's just lame. Now, saying that Yngwie has more talent has no objectivity at all. You gave the example of Yngwie throwing a basketball one hundred feet, but Tom Morello throws it 50. Now, say Morello runs his 40 in 4.35 and Yngwie runs it in 4.8...who's more athletic? It's completely subjective. BB King's technique blows for playing classical music, but Yngwie couldn't bend and pull strings, is either of them less technically able man? IMHO, Yngwie is a great guitarist...but not a great musician. There's a difference. Great guitarists that don't get enough praise:
    Tom Morello
    Bob Weir
    Jonny Greenwood
    Thom Yorke
    The Edge
    Johnny Buckland
    Andy Gill
    Will Sergeant
    Fareed Haque
    John Squire

Jesus Christ. It's not that big of a fucking deal because neither of them will ever get much recognition, being trumped by the popularity of hendrix, srv, clapton, and page, etc. obviously.

    No..

    That's wrong...

    you're wrong...

Hendrix, SRV, and a lot of the other guitarists considered to be the "best guitarists ever" are dead. They can't produce any more albums. Tom Morello is a VERY well known guitarist, and so is Ygnwie, so no, you are completely wrong.

    Mike Bloomfield
    Joni Mitchell
    Nick Drake
John McLaughlin (faster than ANY of your shredders)
    Stevie Stills.

    "dude!"
Ive never heard of anyone who can play 16th notes past 200 bpm and not be able to bend a string

seriously... if you bothered to listen to his music, you might hear a string bend or two
you know next to nothing about him
no, its not. there are ways to judge skill level... its like an IQ test. Im not going to think of every single aspect one could be tested on, but Ill give you a basic idea: things like max picking speed, max speed changing chords, consistency of errors, etc. Im positive that Yngwie would score higher on this test than any guitarist you have named so far

just incase you havent yet managed to grasp this concept, skill level is not about music, its about the ability to make music. it has nothing to do with personal style either, because if it did, it could not be measured on a "level" (hence the term)
