i live in the worst town ever!!! Leicester MA!!...this town is way conservative...in fact..so bad that when i was in high school...our party spot was completely blown by the principal!!..if he found out where parties were being held..even the ritual after prom party..he would call the cops...plus.. there were absolutely no hippies in my school...AT ALL...our high school had 500 kids..and my friends and i were prolly the pot heads of my grade..and we are girls...everyone used to be like "awww smoke some more weed you hippie losers"..not that i cared..but what angers me is that none of my guy friends and most of my girl friends shunned upon pot smoking..and now...since they have gone to college..all they do is smoke pot..do E..peyote..coke..basically everything..my town went from super conservative to trashy-drug town..it sucks..but now you know how shitty a time i had my question is where can i find some cool shops in MA that sell hippie clothes..pieces..room decor..etc...i've been to newport RI..and found some stuff..and Hyannis had a few good shops..if anyone knows anywhere else i would greatly appreciate the info!! peaaaceee
Everyone's town sucks...wait...so you went from complaining about your town to looking for shops that sell hippie clothes? Make your own damn clothes Just take some white shirts and get some dye, it will be the most fun you have ever had, especially if you're baked when you do it, or are you one of those people that has to spend a shitload of money on it? I can't stand that, people come up dressed in patchwork pants and shit and they're just doing it because it's "cool", not because they're actual hippies. well my point about my town sucking is basically that like nothing in this town has any tolerance for hippies..hippie culture..anything..i like wearing vintage hippie stuff..not for fashion..but cause its comfortable..believe me..to wear stuff like that in this town takes balls..because everyone including my friends will look down upon it..its nuts here..thats why..i visited Loose Lucys in Myrtle Beach last year...best store ever but theres none around here...and i could never make my own clothes because i have no idea how! haha otherwise i would..i cant even sew.. im havin my friend teach me this summer and how to quilt...but yeah...plus im lookin for stuff for my room..the only place i really liked was Loose Lucys web page..i might order stuff off there but id rather shop for it myself... i dunno..
well if your town sucks that bad you should move to the southwest because thats where its all happenin ....we just love it we do...
Here are your options: 1. Move. 2. Spend as many weekends and vacations as possible in a nearby friendlier town. You're in Massachusetts, not the Midwest or the Deep South where people are truly unfriendly toward hippie folks. There's got to be something in Boston or the western part of the state where the colleges are. 3. Change the way things are. What would you like to see someone do to change your unpleasant little town? Go out and do that. Don't dream it; be it! 4. Whine and be miserable.
lol i dont think it help but it would be funny to see how people reacted if you held some sort of gathering there for a few days. See how they like that. I would just move. Nothing for you if there is no one there for you.
Hey i live in a town full of snotty rich people in Connecticut. IT SUCKS . There are no hippies around here too. A lot of people hate me. Ya this town sure does suck so you are not alone. You did say you are in Massachusetts so why not go on up to visit a town called Burlington in upstate Vermont its a hippy town. Ive been to Vermont a couple of times and I love it up there havnt really had the chance to really see Burlington though. I will move to Burlington in time and get out of this heckhole. Try to not let your boring town get you down so much and live a little.
