neither is Gin and Juice... but if I was going to give you some Phish songs... definitly Character Zero, Waste, Free, Down With Disease, Heavy Things, and Bathtub Gin. Check out some other bands like Moe., The Low Life, and String Cheese Incident.
Pretty much any song by phish is enjoyable, but my favorites are bouncing around the room, the squirming coil, bathtub gin, waste, free, taste, wolfman's brother, sample in a jar, birds of a feather.
yeah, but it was also redone by a bluegrass group, called the Gourds, and many people mistake that band for Phish. Dont ask me why.
Divided Sky, Simple, Free are more upbeat songs but if you want some slow love songs. Wading in the Velvet Sea is a good one. Any song from thier album Picture of Necture is abosolutly fantastic.
i recommend listening to the album "billy breathes." i find that it's the most easily accessibly album for people new to phish. lots of people i've introduced phish to found taht billy breathes was the perfect introduction to them.. or re-introduction to them. after that you can start getting into more of the more jam based songs more like You enjoy myself, David Bowie, Ghost, etc.. theres such a vast array of songs... upbeat, funky, silly and goofy, serious, ballads, mellow, groovy, it just depends on what ya want to get into. I suggest if you know someone who is into Phish, ask to burn some shows for you. I like live Phish a million times better. It is much more organized than just downloading single songs.
