Willie was kind of, well, actually, VERY MELLOW and sang hit after hit. He did The Harder They Come and no one even seemed to recognize it until 1/2 way through. I liked Pancho & Lefty, Always On My Mind, On The Road Again. He was great. Dylan was AWESOME! He changed the setlist from the previous shows and he rocked. He doesn't play guitar anymore, he plays keys and steps out front for the occasional harp solo. New Morning was awesome! Here is the setlist: 06/19/05 (Sun) Clipper Magazine Stadium - Lancaster, PA Set 1: Tombstone Blues, Lay Lady Lay, God Knows, Visions Of Johanna, Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine), Million Miles, Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again, Tryin' To Get To Heaven, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, Positively 4th Street, New Morning, Summer Days, E: The Times They Are A-Changin', All Along The Watchtower
Yeah, it was very soothing. I was wondering how many spliffs Willie puffed before taking the stage. Dylan got better & better, Watchtower was smoking!
Good to hear, I'll be seeing Willie for the first time in August...I was hoping he would play a more mellow set.
fuckin awesome... i cant wait til july 12, thats when i go and see them... how was the opening band... i've never heard of them before, what kind of music are they?
Sounds like a good set man, I'd like to hear Mr. Tambourine Man when they play at Greer Stadium next week
I thought the opening band was the best of the three. Ahhh! I wish Dylan played guitar... He harped and played keyboard.

Hey all- 1st timer on the forum. Nice reading all the Dylan posts. I saw the show in Memphis at a really nice minor league ball park. I've seen Dylan 8 times & loved every concert but I was a little taken aback by his performance at this concert. While the band roared and rocked out, Dylan seemed so frail and watching him leaning into his keyboards was like watching some old timer clinging for dear life to their walker. He did one marvelous bit early on where he did a bit of the old soft shoe while blowing the harp. The most magical moment of the evening by far but throughout the rest of the show he made absolutely no connection to the audience. He most reminded me of Sonny Boy Williamson in pictures I've seen of him when he was on the London tour with the Yardbirds backing him. When Dylan walked across the stage to take the harp break, he moved in those little tiny, mincing steps he makes in his scenes is MASKED & ANONYMOUS. It's kind of like a palsied Charlie Chaplin gait. Also - I wish Larry Campbell was still with the band. He was GREATLY missed. I'm glad the bass & drummer are still with Dylan (in fact, it seemed like the bass player was the band director) but the new guitarists sounded like they were from a Southern boogie band. I'm glad Bob's still rambling across America playing smaller venues at lower prices but... time is catching up with him.
