So I am trying to crochet a blanket for my friend's upcoming addition to the fam and the pattern says

sc in first 3 sc [sc in sc 4 rows below next st, sc in next 3sc]

I don't understand the part : sc in sc 4 rows below next st. If anyone can explain this to me I be very happy.

those damn crochet patterns suck! its like chinese or somethin

try knitting, the patterns are a lil bit easier, theres not all those sc dc tc hdc things, just k and p which stands for knit and purl lol. andall the stitches too which aint bad, stockinette stitch, garter.. blah blah.

really u should try knitting. its funner.

The patterns are sometimes complex. I knit also but I like to crochet when I have to have something in a hurry. I find that I crochet much faster than I knit. I have over half the blanket done and I need it to be really by Saturday and I started on it yesterday. But I finally figured out how to make the stitch thanks to craftster.org.

I know! I know! You would be counting down 4 rows, insert the hook, yarn over, and draw up a loop to the row you are working on and keep going. That makes that neat little "squares" effect with the white yarn in the pic....:D

EDIT: I see you figured it out...oh well..:D

I'm almost finished with the blanket, I keep doing other things. I will post a pic of it when I am finished.
