The Who made a rock opera named Tommy. Anyone know it? what did you think? I thought it was sensational. Simple druged up fun. I thought the music was amazing, "He's a Pinball Wizard." Anyone else know this amazing show?
yeah i remember seeing a bit of that, and most of it was filmed in a theatre in uk, and my mum was in it as well. claim to fame for her xxx
i was listening to "the who sell out" a couple nights ago for the first time, that was a really good album, i need to get a copy of that one... tommy is an alright album, im not to familer with it, but i like it.
Are you talking about the album or the film, Hippie420Agapi? The album is fantastic (in my opinion), but the film is pretty lousy.
No, well, it lacks any memorable songs, as far as I've listened to it. I may have to listen more careful.
no memorable songs? what about pinball wizard or underture? obviously you haven't listened to it enough, i love this album. wasn't it mentioned at the beginning of almost famous? great album though.
the album is a bit overrated I think. the first half of it is good, but the second half is quite boring. personally, I prefer the who sell out.
It's ok, 2 easy 2 zone and not even listen. There's a difference between relaxing music and boring music. I personally didn't like it, but The Who are still cool.
Yeah, I'm not getting the "no memorable songs" thing. "Pinball Wizard," "I'm Free," and "See Me, Feel Me" (which is actually part of "We're Not Gonna Take It") have been overplayed, so they're obviously memorable. Plus, songs like "Amazing Journey," "The Acid Queen," and "Christmas," among others, are definitely great, memorable songs. Well, The Who Sell Out is a very good album. Well, I think Tommy is far from boring (or even relaxing). If you think Tommy is boring, don't invest in any ambient music.
