I'd suggest using bag seeds for your first grow. I plant per container. Start with 4" planters (the kind house plants come in, get used ones free at a nursery). Fill with quality potting soil like Fox Farms or Black Gold. If you can't get these, Sam's Choice from Wal-Mart is ok. Plant 3 seeds in each container, 2" apart in a circle. lant the seeds 1" deep, on their sides. After about a week after they've emerged, cut the smaller ones in each container off with scissors. After the plants are about 6"--8" tall, transplant to 2-gal. planters. Veg for 7 weeks under 24/0 light, then switch them on a timer to 12/12. It will tke about 2 months to complete flowering. Before you start, set up your grow room. You need a light-tight space with excellent ventilation. Recommended light is a HPS set-up (bulb/ballast/socket-reflector) at 50 watts per sq/ft of growspace. The growspace should be at least 5' tall. You'll also need fertilizer/nutrients. I'd recommend Peter's 20-20-20 for a first-timer. These are the basics. Reading a free on-line indoor grow book will benefit you greatly.
Haha I'd suggest using bad seeds for like your first FIVE grows. It's not as easy as people make it sound.... especially if you are a picky bud smoker
