small ones might allow them, might allow the firstX number of people with A dog. But your dog does not want to go on tour. Show 'em some love and leave them with friends in a comfortable, safe place.
Dogs are welcome at Schwagstocks at Camp Zoe in Salem MO. (see www.theschwag.com) but must be on a leash. Plus there's lots of shaded camping so your pooch can stay cool. There's a huge cold, clear, spring feed creek running right through the middle of the campground and we know how most dogs love the water. My 9 month old puppy Midnight is half Black Lab so she absolutely loves the water. I had considered bring her w/ me to Wakarusa but the website said no dogs allowed. It would seem that that particular rule was ignored. Midnight has never been around a crowd of people but she's very smart, phriendly and well behaved so I think she'll do allright at Schwagstock.
make sure they are good with other diogs, too! Nothing like a pack of pit bulls rolling over your tent in the rain to make a LONG night.

Midnight does really well with other dogs. She's quite well behaved for a 9 especially for a 9 month old puppy. I had family members take care of her when I went to Trail Days and Wakarusa and they said she gets upset when I'm gone for several days. Midnight had been abandoned and was starving when she came to me so that would explain why she is so attached to me. The *sshole that dumped her sure missed out on a really wonderful dog. Her ears perk up whenever I play a Dead or Allman Bros. CD. I just saw a video on the device called Gentle Leader and was really impressed. Its a v-shaped strap that comes up behind a dogs ears and comes over rear end of the muzzle. It does have plenty of room so they can pant, eat drink, etc. It utilizes a dogs natural response to certain actions related to pack behavior. This helps you control and train your dog in gentle, natural way.
