Trying to think of an original intro not containing the words "Hi", "Hey" or "New"!

    Hi everyone!!

I'm so chuffed to have found this forum!

A little bit about myself: Married, 22. My wife's name is Claire, 29, and we have two kids, Nathan (11) and Dionne (9). They're biologically hers if you've done the maths, but were it not for the age, you wouldn't know any different.

We got married last April (pic below)

I don’t look like that anymore though, so here’s a stupid pic of me more recently…

So- me... I'm into video gaming, philosophy, Star-Trek, fantasy, 80s black music, free love. I'm a Fair Trade freak, too- and am trying to spread the word about it. If you don't know what it is, ask!

Claire and I don't really get much chance to practice free love, because anyone can have an STD these days, so it's only really with people we know. That said, we’re looked at by friends of ours as ‘hippies’, and only a few of them know- and they think it’s weird! So we don’t really practice it except for things of a ‘lighter’ nature when we go out. We don’t really know anyone like us, and we’re a tad out of place where we live.

The philosophy is such a keen interest that I’m going to University next year to do a degree, as I want to become a lecturer in it, and then finally a professor at a University, which’ll take time!

I was born in The Forest of Dean, and I am completely OBSESSED with forests - I've got one painted on my chimney breast! Unfortunately, we live in a horrible road on a council estate in a grotty little town full of factories called Bridgwater, where the neighbours are shouting their heads off at 3am every other week and the police have to called out.

We’re looking at moving to a place called Glastonbury that’s not too far away, which is a completely different place, hoping that we can really culturally enrich ourselves.

I’ve got a condition called obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which I’m always fighting against, and Claire has quite a few problems, battling weight and depression.

We’ve had a lot of tough times in the 3-4 years that we’ve been together, but we’ve always pulled through (ah… cheesy moment!).

I’m hoping to have lots of interesting chats with people on this board and meet some new people.

    So yeah, that's me!

Your family is beautiful! I was actually pleased to read your post. Most people aren't so quick to give all that info about them. Good luck in moving, my family (me, my husband and our 4 kids 9,5,3, and 9Months) are going to be moving out of our crummy town as well in a couple weeks. Actually a nice town but too many rich materialistic folk for my taste. Anyway back to you. I wish you the best and look forward to reading posts from you. Take care and give the best to the family!
