this has happend to me acouple of times!!!!.. Gar I've been vegitarian for a bit now.. and vegan for not too long.. i was vegan b 4 about 6 months ago.. but anyways.. I keep eating Ice cream not knowing its dairy.. lol You're probly like.. What a dumb ass... but I think its Ice.. lol not Cream...ahahhaha I need help.. i'l walk into DQ and grab a milkshake or something and realize after i Drank it that woah! that was milk.. then i kick my self garr!!
I'm not sure what kind of stores you have around your area for groceries...but most big, chain grocery stores will supply soy ice cream or rice ice cream.. If you have a Pick N Save by you, that would be your best bet. At the Pick N Save around here we have Tofutti ice cream, Soy Dream, and Rice Dream... I like Tofutti best, and their "Cuties" "Ice cream" sandwiches ARE AWESOME. Yeah I'm pretty sure sorbet/sherbert is usually vegan.. My boyfriend got a "Darth Vader" pop from the ice cream truck the other day and it was made with sorbet and was all vegan [i read ingredients like a mad woman] I found that actually soy ice cream tastes sweeter than regular ice cream. You honestly aren't sacrificing ANYTHING, because the soy ice creams [the ones Ive had anyway] are absolutely delicious.
That's right, stock your fridge with sorbet if you're trying to avoid dairy ice cream. Also, when you visit DQ, you can order a Mr. Misty slush. They're cold, icy, fruit-flavored--and contain no dairy.
i suspose..lol but like ahahaha i htink ice cream is ice sometimes.. and its even worse when i'm stoned..ahah.. I ordered a chicken burger once when i was stoned.. then they gave it too me and I was like :O i'm VEGAN.. and they are like your kidding me.. ahah but understood and gave me a slad instead. ahaha
sherbet has milk. Sorbet is fruit, juice and sweetener. try...staying straight if you eat until your reflexes are trained OR lay in munchies at home.
Thanks for pointing about the sherbert containing milk thing...I was actually just going to correct my post. I dont usually eat that kind of stuff [sorbet/sherbert] I tend to like soy ice cream when I'm having a sweet tooth, so I couldn't remember which was vegan and which wasn't. Anyway thanks for correcting me, I'd hate to be the giver of false info
