finally got an amp, peavey... I like it's sound despite it being solid state, it has pretty good evens emulation, I also like the built in distortion.....
I stayed up till dawn last night writing some music. My DD-6 delay pedal really works wonders with my bass.
haven't started getting pedals yet...... I know that's going to be my next twisted sinkhole...... it may very well be worth it though......
They're really amazing...very inspiring and mind expanding, if I dare go that far to explain them, (which I do). Sometimes I'll loop my bass and play a guitar solo over it, and that's pretty fun.
I got my Boss DD-6 delay pedal and my bass synth wah chained together, but recently I've been having problems getting the synth pedal to work. It troubles me so.
right now I have my guitar macgyvered because they did some shitty soldering @ the factory and my solderer broke, so I'm working on paper clips now so I know how you feel
Aw, shucks. That's no fun. I should finally be getting a new bass this christmas, [hopefully]. It's been 4 years and I'm itching for a new bass to call my hands home.
I love my washburn bass, I need to open her up now and check the connections though and find out if they fucked up the same way there... hopefully didn't
I've had the standard input jack problems with my rouge bass...and those seemed to be worked out. But now I can't even put a strap on, because one of the connecters (I know there's a better word to be put there) broke off. I did use duct tape successfully, but that won't cut it anymore.
the thingies (nodes maybe?) on both my guitars look pretty durable, I don't use a strap much anyway... just not comfortable, I'm oddly proportioned....
If I'm jamming with people for hours on end, sitting down is inconceivable for me. It would KILL my back. At least when I play alone I can find a good position to play sitting.
I have perfect posture.... it's all the marching band bullshit.... damn bari sax and I hate instrument straps...... just a thing.... so I'll stand or sit w\ my guitar, strapless, sometimes I'll use it if I really REALLY need it, but that's rare....
When I had my mandolin, it was so darn light I didn't need a strap. I loved walking around playing it, and easily setting it down. Sadly, it broke. My brother tossed it to me one day...yes. Yes, he did.
Glad we can share this feeling. Yeah, it was $200. I've decided I must replace it. It was fun beyond which any decent adjective could describe.
